Fans left Unimpressed by ‘Snoozefest’ Sikandar

Salman Khan’s much-anticipated film Sikandar was released in theatres on March 30, 2025, coinciding with the Eid festivities.

Despite high expectations, the action thriller has failed to impress audiences.

Viewers have criticised the film’s script, performances, and execution, with many expressing disappointment on social media.

One wrote: “Sikandar is a dull action drama with a lifeless story that fails to engage.

“The background music is very bad, and except for a few decent action scenes, there’s nothing to enjoy. Biggest disaster for Salman and AR Murugadoss combo.”

Another user remarked: “When the lead star can’t even dub his own dialogues, why should the audience waste their time?

“Zero effort, zero impact, Sikandar is already a certified disaster. Salman, retire before the box office does it for you!”

Some viewers felt the film lacked originality.

One review stated: “Sikandar is an action drama that bores from start to finish due to its outdated and bland screenplay.

“The storyline idea may have been emotional on paper. However, it feels lifeless and somewhat silly when translated on screen.”

Others compared Sikandar to Salman Khan’s previous films, calling it worse than Radhe and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

Many described the film as a “snoozefest” with little to offer beyond a few action sequences.

The film also starred Rashmika Mandanna but some viewers pointed out the weak chemistry between her and Salman.

Despite the film featuring a star-studded cast, audiences have expressed disappointment with the performances.

Some fans expected more from director AR Murugadoss, known for delivering hits like Ghajini and Kaththi, but felt the execution in Sikandar did not live up to his previous work.

Adding to the film’s troubles, Sikandar became a victim of piracy just hours before its release.

Reports indicate that an illegal version surfaced online on March 29.

The film’s team worked quickly to remove pirated copies from 600 websites, but the leak may still impact box office earnings.

Some industry experts believe the piracy issue could worsen Sikandar’s already declining reception and affect its commercial success significantly.

Sikandar was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and marketed as an action-packed entertainer.

However, early reactions suggest the film has struggled to resonate with audiences, leaving its box office prospects uncertain in the coming days.
