"this has caused a temporary halt"
Rashmika Mandanna has temporarily stepped away from her busy filming schedule after she injured herself while working out in the gym.
The actress was in the middle of filming the final leg of Sikandar alongside Salman Khan when the incident occurred.
A source close to the actress revealed: “Rashmika recently sustained an injury in the gym and has been recovering well by resting.
“However, this has caused a temporary halt to the filming of her upcoming projects.
“Nevertheless, she’s already feeling much better and will resume work on set very soon!”
Rashmika has been advised by doctors to have some rest to ensure a full recovery.
Although concerned for her health, fans can rest assured that she is on the mend and will be back in action in no time.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, Sikandar is an action-packed entertainer featuring an ensemble cast.
This includes Salman Khan, Kajal Aggarwal, Anjini Dhawan, Prateik Babbar, and veteran actor Sathyaraj.
Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film is set for an Eid-ul-Fitr 2025 release.
Before her injury, Rashmika was scheduled to resume the final shoot in Mumbai on January 10, 2025.
It was reported that despite this minor delay, the team remains confident about completing the film well ahead of its March 2025 deadline.
Rashmika is currently basking in the success of her role as Srivalli in Pushpa 2: The Rule.
It was reported in September 2024 that the actress shot the film while nursing an injury.
Directed by Sukumar, the blockbuster also starred Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil.
The film recently surpassed Baahubali 2 to become the second highest-grossing Indian film after Dangal.
Adding to the excitement, the makers have announced Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded, which features 20 minutes of bonus footage.
It is set for release in theatres starting January 17, 2025.
This announcement has further solidified Rashmika’s place as one of the industry’s most sought-after stars.
