Rashmika Mandanna has officially joined the cast of Sikandar.
The film will star her alongside Salman Khan for the first time and will be directed by AR Murugadoss.
Confirming the news, the production house of the film took to their social media and said:
“Welcoming the fabulous @rashmika_mandanna to star opposite @beingsalmankhan in #Sikandar!
“Can’t wait for their on-screen magic to unfold on Eid 2025!”
Rashmika also expressed her excitement about the project via her Instagram Story.
Posting a series of pictures, she wrote: “You guys for a long time have been asking me for the next update and here it is.
“Surprise!! I’m truly grateful and honoured to be a part of Sikandar.”
The announcement was met with positive reactions from fans.
One of them commented: “Finally Rashmika and Bhaijaan!”
Another said: “2025 will be fun now.”
A third added: “OMG – can’t wait. It’s going to be a blockbuster.”
In March 2024, Salman Khan announced that he would be teaming up with Murugadoss for an “exciting film”.
Salman enthused: “Glad to join forces with the exceptionally talented, @a.r.murugadoss and my friend, #SajidNadiadwala for a very exciting film!!
“This collaboration is special, and I look forward to this journey with your love and blessings.
“Releasing Eid 2025.”
To promote her film Goodbye (2022), Rashmika had previously appeared on Salman’s television show Bigg Boss.
During that interaction, the actress expressed her desire to work with him.
She had asked: “Sir, my debut in Hindi is done, so when are you working in a full-fledged role in the South?”
Her co-star Neena Gupta then said: “Are you asking about him working in the South or about you working with him?”
Salman playfully answered: “No, she is saying she wants to do a full-fledged role here.”

In other news, Salman was recently embroiled in a controversy when gunshots were fired outside his house.
Shiv Sena leader Anand Dubey reacted to the shooting.
He stated: “Whether it is Salman Khan or any common man, no one is feeling safe in Mumbai and Maharashtra.
“You have seen that recently there was a firing in Mumbai and an MLA fired in Dombivali.”
“This morning there was a firing outside Salman Khan’s house. What kind of law and order is this?
“Home Minister, Chief Minister, where are you?
“Criminals are roaming around fearlessly. The Chief Minister and Home Minister should take cognisance of this incident.”
