"The world is coming crashing down."
Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) has been having a dramatic time in BBC’s EastEnders.
The character recently rekindled his spark with Denise Fox (Diane Parish).
In 2023, the pair realised their attraction, with Denise meeting Ravi in a hotel room despite being married to Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).
After being rejected by Denise, Ravi pursued a relationship with her daughter Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams).
However, this fizzled out shortly afterwards. In January 2025, Denise and Ravi agreed to give their romance another go following Denise’s divorce from Jack.
Ravi even confided in Denise that he pushed his father Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) to his death.
Aaron Thiara teased that dramatic scenes are set to air, with Denise and Ravi keen to keep their relationship a secret.
However, this doesn’t work out, as Ravi’s son, Davinder ‘Nugget’ Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) catches the couple kissing.
Aaron said: “Ravi completely understands why she’s so concerned about Chelsea.
“Ravi respects Denise’s wishes and is happy to go at her pace.
“She needs to feel comfortable about when the other members of the family find out about them, especially Chelsea.
“Knowing how Chelsea felt about Ravi when they were together, this will cause absolute carnage and it’ll be Denise’s relationship with her daughter that’s on the line.”
Delving into Nugget’s discovery of Ravi and Denise’s equation, Aaron continued: “It’s the worst thing that could have happened.
“Ravi and Denise want the decision of when to tell people about their relationship to be in their hands, nobody else’s.
“They want the chance to be together and tell people about that in their own way.
“So, for Nugget, Ravi’s child, to see that and having to explain that whole situation to him makes it feel like the world is coming crashing down on them.
“He has to talk to Nugget like an adult and not speak down to him.”
“Ravi explains to his son that one day he’ll meet someone, and it could be tricky, and that’s the situation that Ravi is in and he’s trying to find a way through it.
“There are some beautiful scenes between them. It’s new for Ravi in his journey as a father to communicate and relate to his son in this way.”
EastEnders recently confirmed that Ravi would take centre stage during the show’s 40th anniversary celebrations in February 2025.
During a fully live episode, EastEnders fans will have the chance to vote on who Denise chooses to be with – Ravi or Jack.
