"You have done a scam, you have done a scam."
The teaser for Dhurandhar 2 has been released but anticipation quickly turned to disappointment among viewers.
The much-awaited clip of Aditya Dhar’s sequel was released on February 3.
However, fans were left feeling scammed after watching it.
Many claimed the teaser closely resembled the post-credits scene at the end of the first film and it offered nothing new.
One disappointed person wrote in the YouTube comments section:
“Bro hyped us with 12:12 just to recycle the end credits scene like we wouldn’t notice.”
Another claimed: “This seems like a bad move by the marketing team.
“The teaser was the perfect opportunity to build hype by showing something new, but now we have to wait another month.”
Frustrated, a third person said:
“We wanted something new in the teaser… we have already seen this in the film itself.”
A comment read: “You have done a scam, you have done a scam.”
Despite the backlash, some fans pointed out the impact of Dhurandhar 2.
One person commented: “Part 1 was fire, Part 2 looks like an explosion.”
Another said: “Fear has a name – Hamza Ali Mazari.”
A third added: “Theatres are going to blow.”
Others urged patience and suggested that the makers may still unveil something fresh, as one hopeful fan said:
“Wait for teaser 2.”
Another stated: “This is how you make a trailer, a 1-minute trailer without revealing any detail about the main story and then making you jump off your chair… peak editing.
“Waiting for this movie.”
Dhurandhar was a huge success and became the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.
The sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is scheduled to release in cinemas on March 19, 2026.
While there are various theories about the sequel, the biggest question is around the identity of ‘Bade Sahab’.
The character was mentioned in conversations involving Sanjay Dutt’s SP Chaudhary Aslam and Rakesh Bedi’s Jameel Jamali.
Arjun Rampal’s Major Iqbal and R Madhavan’s Ajay Sanyal are expected to have expanded roles in the sequel.
Sara Arjun will reprise her role as Yalina Jamali.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge is set for a major box office clash with Yash-starrer Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas.
While Dhurandhar 2 is being touted as the most hyped Hindi film of 2026, Toxic marks Yash’s theatrical return since the KGF franchise.
