"Hold your breath, Taandob is coming!"
Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan’s first look for the highly anticipated film Taandob has been unveiled, sparking excitement among fans.
On March 28, 2025, the poster for Taandob was posted by the film’s director, Raihan Rafi.
The poster, which quickly took social media by storm, shows Shakib Khan in a fierce pose, holding a gun.
Fans wasted no time in drawing comparisons between Shakib’s portrayal and Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, with many praising his tough, heroic demeanour.
The poster reveal came right after the music video for the song ‘Chand Mama’, from his film Borbaad was released.
Raihan took to social media to share the poster with an enthusiastic message:
“Happy Birthday, Megastar Shakib Khan! Hold your breath, Taandob is coming!”
This has only added to the growing excitement for the movie, which is set to be a major release.
Produced by Shahriar Shakil, Taandob has generated a lot of buzz.
While the official cast list hasn’t been confirmed, there are rumours swirling that Sariful Razz and Sabila Nur may be part of the film.
However, one thing has been confirmed: Jaya Ahsan will star alongside Shakib Khan.
Shakib Khan, who last shared screen space with Jaya Ahsan in Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini, is reuniting with her for this film.
The duo’s reunion after a long hiatus has stirred a lot of interest among fans.
Filming for Taandob is expected to continue through April 2025, with a short four-day break during Eid.
The film’s plot is said to revolve around a television station, but the producer has refuted some circulating rumours.
Shahriar Shakil revealed: “A lot of what’s being written is entirely speculative.
“There is no sequence in Taandob involving an attack on a television station. And Afran Nisho is not part of the cast either.”
As Taandob ramps up production, Shakib Khan is also preparing for the release of two other films this Eid-ul-Fitr, Antaratma and Borbaad.
Both films feature fresh faces, with Darshana Banik and Idhika Paul starring as the female leads.
However, the spotlight is on Taandob, with fans eagerly awaiting its release, which is slated for Eid-ul-Azha.
With excitement building, the next few months are set to be a blockbuster period for Shakib Khan and his loyal fans.
