one character stands out dramatically
Shakib Khan has officially unveiled his next big project, sharing a dramatic first-look poster of Prince.
The poster has already stirred excitement across social media.
The upcoming film, titled Prince: Once Upon a Time in Dhaka, was announced on social media, alongside the caption:
“The beginning of a new chapter has been announced – the city will recognise its true hero.”
The poster offers a striking visual, with the map of Dhaka providing the backdrop while armed figures occupy the foreground.
Among them, one character stands out dramatically with both arms outstretched, gripping a pistol in each hand.
This project marks the first collaboration between Shakib and the production company Creative Land.
Shirin Sultana will serve as producer while Abu Hayat Mahmud takes the director’s chair.
Mahmud has promised audiences a film mounted on a “larger-than-life scale”, tailored to resonate with viewers from Gulistan to Gulshan.
According to the director, the story is set in Dhaka during the 1990s, and it will weave together crime, love, action, emotion, and family drama.
While Shakib Khan is confirmed in the lead, the remaining cast of Prince has not yet been announced.
The release has been scheduled for Eid-ul-Fitr 2026, giving fans a clear timeline for one of the year’s most anticipated Bangladeshi films.
Before Prince arrives, Khan is also preparing for a return to the big screen this December 2025 with Soldier.
It is an action-packed film directed by newcomer Sakib Fahad.
The actor recently confirmed this in an interview from the United States, where he has been on holiday with his family.
Speaking about Soldier, Shakib remarked that although he has delivered numerous action-packed hits, this project will aim to prioritise the storyline.
He revealed that filming is on track, with preparations running at full speed for a December 2025 release.
Rumours have long surrounded Soldier, particularly regarding its storyline and casting choices.
Reports suggest that Shakib Khan will portray a former intelligence officer struggling with personal challenges while navigating a politically charged environment.
Unconfirmed speculation has linked Tanjin Tisha to the film, though no official announcement has been made by the production team.
The dual announcements of Prince and Soldier have excited fans immensely.
The superstar appears ready to offer audiences both variety and intensity.
His decision to headline two ambitious productions within months shows why Shakib Khan continues to dominate Bangladeshi cinema.
