The much-awaited teaser for Taandob, directed by Raihan Rafi, has finally been released and it’s already sparking intense buzz online.

Clocking in at just over a minute, the teaser instantly grabs attention with its dark tone and cryptic imagery.

It shows a gang of monkey mask-wearing figures that leaves viewers full of questions.

Leading the cast is Shakib Khan, whose fiery appearance in the teaser mirrors the explosive first-look poster previously unveiled.

That image, showing him striding confidently through flames, hinted at the chaos that Taandob would soon unleash.

Now, the teaser confirms those suspicions. The visuals are bold, the energy is relentless, and Shakib’s transformation has taken fans by surprise.

The teaser intensifies when Jaya Ahsan appears on screen, pointing a gun at Shakib.

Her piercing eyes and sharp presence suggest a high-stakes confrontation.

While little is revealed about her role, her commanding presence signals she’ll play a crucial part in the unfolding storm.

The scene adds a layer of suspense and raises questions about the motives.

The recurring monkey mask stands out as the teaser’s most haunting visual element.

Shakib and several others wear it, though its meaning remains unclear.

Whether it symbolises an ideology, a cult, or a covert operation is still unknown.

This element alone has triggered countless theories online, with fans eager to decipher its significance.

Director Raihan Rafi has described the teaser not just as a preview but as a “forecast”, a storm warning ahead of the film’s full impact.

He remains secretive about the plot but confident about the project’s scale and ambition.

In a statement, he said:

“I wanted to make something unlike anything seen before in Bangladeshi cinema. This will feel fresh, yet powerful.”

Following two successful Eid-ul-Azha releases, Rafi is once again setting the bar high.

With Taandob, he aims to redefine the thriller genre in the local film scene.

The production is backed by SVF Alpha-i Entertainment Limited, in collaboration with Chorki and additional support from Deepto.

While the full cast has not yet been revealed, producers confirmed that announcements and promotional clips will continue to roll out.

Each reveal is designed to heighten anticipation.

With its bold imagery, suspenseful tone, and enigmatic storytelling, Taandob already looks set to be one of 2025’s most talked-about releases.
