Salman Khan has voiced his support for collaboration between Indian and Pakistani actors despite the ongoing political tensions.

While promoting his upcoming film Sikandar, Salman was asked about the possibility of working with Pakistani talent.

He said: “If you can arrange for permission from the government, I am willing to collaborate with Pakistani actors.”

He emphasised that actors are artists and art should not be bound by borders.

Salman went on to stress that Pakistani actors should not be denied visas to India:

“Pakistani actors are not terrorists, so there is no point denying them Indian visas.”

He further added that art transcends politics, and the two should remain separate.

Salman even jokingly suggested: “If the Indian government doesn’t give visas to Pakistani actors, then I’ll just play cricket instead.”

The statement reflects Salman Khan’s ongoing belief in breaking down barriers between artists, regardless of nationality or political tensions.

Cross-border cooperation between the two countries has been a point of contention following the Indian government’s 2016 ban on Pakistani actors.

Salman Khan also addressed the ongoing discussion of the large age gap between him and his female co-stars.

Salman commented on how the media and public often focus on the age difference rather than the opportunities he is giving to young talent.

He said: “My goal is to provide young actresses with a strong platform and career opportunities.”

The Bollywood star added that he will continue supporting emerging talent, regardless of the age gap controversy.

Addressing the topic of his own age gap with Sikandar co-star Rashmika Mandanna, Salman had a straightforward response:

“If neither the actress nor her family has an issue, why should others be concerned about our age gap?”

Salman also touched on the changing dynamics within Bollywood, particularly the reluctance of current actors to participate in films with ensemble casts.

He shared that, in the past, Bollywood actors trusted their fans to support films featuring multiple stars.

But today, he observed that actors are more insecure and prefer to work solo, as opposed to collaborating in larger ensemble projects.

As the release of Sikandar draws near, Salman Khan remains trending in Pakistan for his remarks on India’s ban on Pakistani artists.
