“She was the light of our life, with a golden kind heart"
The ex-husband and son of 54-year-old Balvinder Gahir were charged with her murder after police discovered her dead body at her home in Warwickshire, West Midlands in England.
57-year-old Jasbinder Gahir and 23-year-old Rohan Gahir ruthlessly murdered Balvinder Gahir on Monday, 24 August 2020.
According to Warwickshire Police, emergency services were called to Balvinder’s home at Lillington in the town of Leamington Spa on Monday at 2.38 am.
The call was made to report a suspected disturbance at the property on Valley Road, Lillington.
The victim was found with serious head injuries. Despite attempting CPR, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The men were charged with the murder of Balvinder Gahir on Thursday, 27 August 2020.
They have been remanded in custody and will be appearing at Warwick Crown Court on Tuesday, 1 September 2020.
The woman’s ex-husband and son are both from Church View in Maidenhead.
Paying tribute on behalf of Balvinder’s family, the police released a statement. It read:
“With great sadness, we announce that our dearest beloved daughter, sister and mum’s like was taken from us all.
“She was the light of our life, with a golden kind heart, filled with so much love and happiness, her smile would light up the room with a thousand words, a beauty beyond beauty.
“Words cannot express how much we love you and will miss you.
“You lived life like there was no tomorrow, you saw many sorrows, yet always stayed positive and smiled and lived for today. You gave us hope and love.
“Our sweetest darling daughter, sister and mum, we hope you can rest in peace now.
“You will always be in our hearts our darling angel and never forgotten. Until we meet again.”
The family have also requested for further privacy at this rather “difficult time.”
Also, a 28-year-old man and 15-year-old girl were arrested on suspicion of murdering the victim. However, they were later released on police bail.
As of yet, the reason behind the killing has not been shared.
Recently, 39-year-old Umit Hayta of Dagenham was arrested for 18 years after he was charged with attacking his ex-wife and her male friend.
In a fit of jealous rage, Umit Hayta stabbed the male friend 18 times leaving him with life-threatening injuries.
He also stabbed his ex-wife in the back and legs. Umit Hayta pleaded guilty for the same.
