Renowned actor Bilal Abbas has offered his fans tips on dealing with their anxiety struggles.

Bilal stated that there came a time in everybody’s lives when they would have to deal with anxious thoughts but that they should never stop believing in their faith.

He said: “Anxiety, stress, grief, pain and suffering were all endured by Prophets too and many underneath them as it is an ongoing process and a part of life.

“Surrendering to the Almighty with your heart and soul will allow miracles. It can take time and drain you but it will happen.

“Just stay consistent and keep believing. In case anyone is dealing with this, we all do it somehow.

“That’s the key. May Allah help those who are struggling with this.”

In a separate video, Bilal Abbas also shared tips on living a peaceful life and advised his fans to prioritise their health and continue praying.

He also said that it was good to speak to people they trusted and who genuinely cared for them.

Many Pakistani celebrities have become vocal on the subject of mental health and say that it is nothing to be embarrassed to speak up about.

In 2023, it was revealed that Maulana Tariq Jamil’s son, Asim Jamil had passed away.

Asim’s brother Maulana Yousaf Jamil shared that his brother was dealing with depression and mental health before his passing.

Since the news came to light, many celebrities have come forward and requested others to look after their mental health and seek help without feeling ashamed.

Zara Noor Abbas said: “For all those who say depression happens because you have strayed from your religion, please take the example of Maulana Tariq Jamil’s son.

“He was suffering from it even though he had a household full of religious activities and his father was such an honoured religious scholar.

“Please understand that depression is real like any other illness. It sucks everything out of you. Please seek help and support for it.”

Syeda Tuba Anwar commented: “May Allah give patience to Maulana Tariq Jamil and his family on the demise of his son. Depression is real.

“Please be kind to everyone around you and refrain from judging people based on your myopic mentality.”

Although mental health is often brushed under the carpet, many celebrities have started sharing their battles with it in an attempt to highlight that it is okay to speak up about how an individual is feeling.

Mahira Khan revealed that during the release of Raees, she had suffered from episodes of depression.

She admitted to taking anti-depressants for several years and working through her illness.

Saheefa Jabbar Khattak bravely shared a post on Instagram where she stated she was struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel and often felt suicidal.

Sana is from a law background who's pursuing her love of writing. She likes reading, music, cooking and making her own jam. Her motto is: "Taking the second step is always less scarier than taking the first."
