The 19-year-old is the son of Amitabh’s daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Indian businessman Nikhil Nanda.
According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, Agastya has his eyes set on stardom. The young man wishes to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather.
The aspiring actor has been spending the lockdown at the Bachchan residence in Mumbai, India.
During the lockdown, he has been inspiring his superstar grandfather to lift some weights in their in-house gym.
In fact, it appears Amitabh Bachchan has been enjoying their fitness sessions and has shared a glimpse with his fan following on Instagram.
Agastya Nanda enjoys a large fan following on social media. The young man was recently spotted attending his aunt, Neetu Kapoor’s 62nd birthday celebration.
Agastya is, in fact, related to both the Kapoors and the Bachchans. His paternal grandmother, the late Ritu Nanda was the late Rishi Kapoor’s sister.
Allegedly, Agastya Nanda has received film offers which he will pursue when the time is right.
If speculations are believed to be true, filmmaker Karan Johar has made it clear that he is more than happy to launch his Bollywood career.
Despite Agastya’s Bollywood connections on both his paternal and maternal side, his mother Shweta has previously expressed her reservations about the same.
She made headlines when she revealed that she was not keen on her children joining the film industry.
The reason behind her reservation was because of the immense pressure and contempt her brother and actor Abhishek Bachchan faces regularly.
Typically, it has been stated that star children in Bollywood face pressure because of their film background.
In this instance, Abhishek Bachchan has been mocked and ridiculed when he has been compared to his legendary father.
While Shweta’s daughter Navya Naveli Nanda has expressed her desire to explore other avenues, it appears Agastya has his eyes set on stardom.
