“It’s slick, very subtle, but really nice"
Amir Khan may be a famous face within boxing but away from the ring, he is known for having an extensive collection of cars.
Over the years, the former world champion has owned a variety of lavish cars.
From supercars to SUVs, Amir’s love for cars is broad.
His fans also get a glimpse of his car collection as he regularly takes to social media to show off his new purchases.
While the price tag of many of Amir’s vehicles is hefty enough, the spending does not always stop there.
For some of his cars, Amir has gone the extra mile to give his motors a unique touch, making them truly one-of-a-kind.
While some of his purchases remain a mainstay of his garage, others have moved on.
We look at some of the cars Amir Khan has owned over the years.
Custom Range Rover
Amir Khan may have a lavish car collection but that does not stop him from adding a personal touch to them.
For example, he had his Range Rover modified, enlisting the help of Bradford-based bespoke vehicle styling company EnKahnz.
The boxer opted for subtle modifications, including custom bumpers and interior.
The front was also altered, complete with Amir’s nickname ‘King’ in place of the standard ‘Range Rover’ name.
The custom registration plate, ‘B0XIIG’, only adds to the uniqueness of the SUV.
It is not known how much the modifications cost, but the Range Rover was reported to have been worth £100,000.
When he collected the vehicle, Amir said:
“Amazing! I love it man. The plate goes well with it, beautiful.
“It’s slick, very subtle, but really nice, just how I wanted it”
Porsche 911 Turbo
The Porsche 911 Turbo is one of Amir Khan’s newest purchases, acting as his desired mode of transport for when he is in Dubai.
He bought the sports car shortly after splashing out on a holiday mansion.
The white Porsche boasts 640 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque.
However, it was not cheap, costing around £160,000.
The car looks to be one of Amir’s prized possessions as he has taken no chances when it comes to keeping it in pristine condition.
Even though Dubai only sees four inches of rain annually, Amir spent £2,000 getting the car waterproofed.
The Porsche was wrapped in a coating that repels water.
Amir took to Instagram to share a video of a garage worker demonstrating how water repels off the luxury motor.
As the worker does so, an astonished Amir says: “Wow, it just pours right off.”
Lamborghini Aventador
Lamborghinis are a favourite for Amir Khan. On numerous occasions, Amir has expressed his love for the Italian supercar manufacturer on social media.
He has also been pictured with different models. As a result, it is no surprise that he owns a Lamborghini Aventador.
The red supercar, which is housed at his home in Bolton, costs around £300,000.
It also boasts some incredible specs, managing 0-62 mph in just 2.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 217 mph.
The boxer flaunted the vehicle in an Instagram post whilst complaining about the rain.
He wrote: “Hate the rain. Go away. Our winter has started in the UK.
“If there was any place in the world, where would you want to be?”
However, netizens were not impressed, accusing him of filming a weather video just to show off.
One person commented: “You’re very materialistic. Try being humble.”
Another posted: “He is just a show-off of his wealth.
“A busty flush boxer who has had a hopeless ended career… now displaying his car excusing off rain.”
Rolls-Royce Phantom
Another luxury car manufacturer that Amir Khan loves is Rolls-Royce and over the years he has had several in his collection.
But his favourite model is the Phantom.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom is considered to be one of the most luxurious cars on the market ever since the first generation was launched in 1925.
The Phantom is made with high-tech materials and has exquisite features. The interior is also personalised to the customer’s needs.
It is no surprise that prices start from £300,000.
Amir Khan has owned several Rolls-Royce Phantoms. This includes a white Phantom and more recently, a black one that costs £350,000.
The black Phantom even featured during his Instagram video on rain where he was criticised.
One person said: “Bro, you showing off all your cars. Rain is just an excuse.”
However, one netizen defended Amir, saying he was boosting Britain’s image, writing:
“Everyone around the world associates the UK with one thing… rain. Man just wanted to flex his cars.”
Amir Khan’s love for Rolls-Royce has gone on for many years, even borrowing his friend’s one to use for his first UK meeting with Faryal Makhdoom.
Ferrari California T
Another Italian supercar that Amir Khan owned was a Ferrari California.
The boxer reportedly owned the high-performance car during his time in San Francisco, when he trained with Virgil Hunter.
Amir Khan owned the Ferrari California T, which is an updated version of the California.
It is a grand tourer that featured new sheet metal and revised body features. This includes a new front that was inspired by the Ferrari F12.
It has a twin-turbocharged V8 engine that is capable of producing 553 bhp.
The car takes just 3.6 seconds to go from 0 to 62 mph and it can reach a top speed of 196 mph.
Amir’s one looked menacing in black, with tinted windows.
The boxer stood outside his mansion with the £150,000 motor, captioning the post: “At the castle.”
Mercedes S63 AMG
One of Amir Khan’s earlier car purchases was the Mercedes S63 AMG.
In 2015, he took to social media to announce he had bought the new car, writing:
“Finally got my hands on the #S63.”
The S63 AMG is one of Mercedes’ more powerful models, churning out 585 bhp.
It can also go from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.4 seconds, going on to reach an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
The high-performance specs are thanks to a 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine.
However, it was not cheap. Amir reportedly had to cough up £100,000 to purchase the Mercedes.
But judging by his happiness, it was worth every penny.
Throughout his boxing career, Amir Khan has racked up an impressive collection of cars.
Whether it is a grand tourer or a luxury sedan, Amir does not have a preference. The only preference is how lavish they are.
There is no doubt that he will add to his car collection as time goes on.
But it will be interesting to see what he will add to his garage.
