"Domm is bigger than my last two films."

Afran Nisho has been sighted in the remote deserts of Kazakhstan, where groundwork has begun for his highly anticipated film Domm.

The actor was joined by director Redoan Rony, producer Shahriar Shakil, and several foreign crew members during the location visit.

Photos shared by Chorki CEO and filmmaker Redoan Rony revealed the vast desert terrain that will serve as the film’s backdrop.

In one striking image, Nisho sits atop a rock with script in hand, surrounded by endless sunlit sand and silence.

Another photograph shows Rony deep in discussion with the international crew alongside Shahriar Shakil, underscoring the project’s ambitious collaborative nature.

From the visuals, it is clear that the team was scouting locations and evaluating practical challenges for both cast and crew.

Domm marks Redoan Rony’s directorial comeback after a long break, and he admitted he is approaching it with immense dedication.

He stated: “I’m coming to make Domm with all my strength.”

The filmmaker stressed how meaningful the survival drama feels to him personally.

The film is inspired by true events and promises to explore extraordinary resilience in the face of overwhelming odds and danger.

Leading the project are Afran Nisho and Chanchal Chowdhury, while the female lead is yet to be officially announced.

Reflecting on his role, Nisho described the performance as layered and demanding, saying he hasn’t encountered such storytelling in Bangladeshi cinema before.

Chanchal Chowdhury echoed the sentiment, calling the narrative extraordinary and hinting that the audience will be amazed by its scope.

Jointly produced by SVF Alpha-iEntertainment and Chorki, Domm is scheduled for a grand release during Eid-ul-Fitr in 2026.

Rony, acclaimed for Chorabali, explained that the film embodies the “power of a common man” and carries universal inspirational value.

He revealed that he had been searching for this kind of story for years, one that deeply resonates with audiences.

For Nisho, Domm is another step forward after acclaimed performances in Surongo and Daagi.

He emphasised that while those projects were ambitious, the canvas of Domm is significantly larger and far more performance-heavy.

Nisho said: “I would say the scale of Domm is bigger than my last two films.”

The actor admitted he feels both pressure and excitement, highlighting the director’s honesty and passion as strong motivating forces.

Although both Nisho and Rony have worked in the media industry for many years, this marks their very first collaboration.

As anticipation builds, fans are eager to see how this survival-inspired epic unfolds against Kazakhstan’s striking yet unforgiving desert landscapes.
