DESIblitz presents a list of upcoming Bollywood heroes and starlets who look promising and are all set to make their film debut in 2023.

Khushi Kapoor
Khushi Kapoor will soon make her debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, a Netflix adaptation of the Archie comics.
The first look and teaser of the film were released on May 14, 2022, which showed Khushi as Betty Cooper, Suhana Khan as Veronica Lodge, and Agastya Nanda as Archie.
Khushi is the youngest daughter of Boney Kapoor and the late Sridevi.
In May 2022, Boney told ETimes: “Khushi had expressed her desire to become an actor after Janhvi started shooting for Dhadak in 2018.
“That’s why we sent her to New York Film School in 2019. If Sridevi was around, she would have supported her like she supported Janhvi.”
Ibrahim Ali Khan
Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan is keen to carve out his path in the Hindi film industry.
Ibrahim was an assistant director and assisted Karan Johar with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
Now, rumours suggest that he might soon be making his debut as an actor as well, and it would be under the banner of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
If reports are to be believed, then Ibrahim Ali Khan will be making his acting debut with a film under the banner of Dharma.
It will be directed by Kayoze Irani and will be based on the armed forces.
Kayoze directed the short called Ankahi from Ajeeb Daastaans, which starred Manav Kaul and Shefali Shah in the lead.
The same reports also mention that the film will go on floors in early 2023. However, both Kayoze and Dharma have not confirmed the news so far.
Suhana Khan
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan, is all set to follow in his footsteps.
She will make her debut in Zoya Akhtar’s Netflix film The Archies.
A source told IndiaToday.in about Suhana Khan’s acting debut plans: “In the film, Suhana will have not just western but also Indian looks.
“The star kid loves to do makeup. She is also very keen to put out her different looks on Instagram to see how people react to them.
“All of these are a part of Suhana’s big acting debut, which will happen soon.”
Ahaan Panday
Ahaan’s mother, Deanne Pandey, is an author and a celeb fitness expert and his father, Chikki Panday is a businessman and actor Chunky Panday’s cousin.
Ahaan has bagged a Yash Raj film which will be released in 2023.
The film will reportedly be directed by debutant Shiv Rawail.
Talking about the film, a source close to the development told Bollywood Hungama: “It’s true that Ahaan Panday and Ajay Devgn will be seen together.
“Ajay plays the antagonist in this film which promises to be a visually grand and exciting affair.
“It’ll be a part of a superhero series and every part will have a new villain. In the first instalment, it’s Ajay who will play the baddie.”
Pashmina Roshan
Pashmina Roshan, daughter of filmmaker Rajesh Roshan and cousin to actor Hrithik Roshan, is all set to make her Bollywood debut.
Pashmina, along with Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, and Naila Grewal, will appear in the sequel of Shahid Kapoor’s debut film Ishq Vishk.
Ishq Vishk, which also starred Amrita Rao, Vishal Malhotra, and Shenaz Treasury, was a coming-of-age romantic comedy film.
Pashmina shared the video announcement on her Instagram account in June 2022, writing: “It feels like years of austerity and hard work is finally bearing fruits.
“I’m extremely excited, nervous and elated to bring to you my first experience on screen.”
Agastya Nanda
Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda is set for his big Bollywood debut with a web film based on the globally celebrated Archies comics for Netflix.
A source told Pinkvilla: “Agastya has always been inclined towards acting and after completing the basic education, is all geared up to live his acting dream.
“Contrary to the conventional mode of entering the world of showbiz, Agastya will first appear in Zoya’s directorial for the digital world and then move onto the big screen spectacles.
“He is already prepping for the role and if things go as planned, he is all set to play the titular role of Archie in Zoya’s feature film for Netflix.”
Shehnaaz Gill
Shehnaaz Gill will reportedly be seen in Salman Khan’s Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali.
The actor-singer is said to be paired opposite Aayush Sharma in the film.
While not much is known about the character and screen time, it’s said that Shehnaaz is excited to work with Salman Khan.
Salman was highly impressed by Shehnaaz during her stint in Bigg Boss 13.
As she called herself ‘Punjab ki Katrina Kaif’ when they first met on stage, the host could not help but smile at her antics.
Throughout the season, he seemed to have developed a soft corner for her as he kept looking out for her.
Junaid Khan
Junaid Khan is following his father Aamir Khan’s footsteps and is set to make his Bollywood debut with Yash Raj Films’ project, reportedly titled Maharaja.
The film is reportedly based on Maharaj Libel Case.
In 1862, the head of a religious section had filed a case against a newspaper that had exposed his sexual exploitation of female devotees.
Junaid Khan is set to play the role of journalist Karsandas Mulji.
In March 2022, Aamir Khan told News18: “Junaid will be entering the industry soon. I have always told my kids that I will support them in whatever they wish to learn.”
Shanaya Kapoor
Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Shashank Khaitan’s Bedhadak.
It was reported that the film has been ‘indefinitely postponed’. However, the film’s shooting status is very much on track.
The official confirmation from the film’s team rubbished the rumours.
The star kid will start shooting with her co-stars Gurfateh Pirzada and Lakshya in early 2023.
The clarification also stated that the actors are currently reading scripts and undergoing workshops for the film.
Before making her acting debut, Shanaya earlier worked as an assistant director in Janhvi Kapoor’s Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil War.
Varun Tej Konidela
Varun Tej Konidela’s next film, the yet-to-be-titled #VT13, was grandly launched in September 2022.
The film is an action drama with a story based on the Indian Air Force and will mark Varun’s debut in Bollywood.
Inspired by true events, the film is touted to be a patriotic, edge-of-the-seat entertainer that will showcase the indomitable spirits of our heroes on the front and the challenges they face as they fight one of the biggest aerial attacks India has ever seen.
Talking about the film, Varun Tej said: “I am honoured to have received the opportunity to play the role of an Indian Air Force Officer and celebrate their valour on the big screen.
“We strive to make a film that we hope will be a perfect tribute to the Indian Air Force.”
Television stars including Avneet Kaur, Parth Samthaan, Ridhi Dogra and Laksh Lalwani are also expected to make their Bollywood debut shortly.
Post the Covid-19 pandemic, films have brought the audience back to the cinema with some great stories and stellar casts.
