Pakistani singer Asim Azhar and actress Merub Ali look set to tie the knot.
Appearing on The Talk Talk Show, Merub stated that she will surely be settling down with Asim but that they were awaiting the decision from both parents.
On the show, Merub mentioned that both she and Asim received their parents’ consent for marriage.
Merub, who starred in Wabaal, is currently focusing on her education and plans to walk down the aisle once she has graduated with her Law degree.
Merub has showcased her acting abilities in a number of drama serials which gained success and recognition due to their different storylines.
Paristan, Wabaal and Sinf-e-Aahan, to name a few, gave her the recognition she deserves for her acting skills.
In a previous interview, Merub Ali spoke of her relationship with Asim and revealed she has known him since childhood.
She said: “We’re great family friends and have known each other since childhood.
“My brother is his best friend and our mothers are best friends.”
Famed singer Asim Azhar, who is the son of famous actress Gul-e-Rana, is at the top of his career and is at present dominating the music scene in Pakistan.

Merub Ali made her acting debut in the hit drama Sinf-e-Aahan, which boasted a huge cast, including names such as Syra Yousuf, Sajal Aly, Yumna Zaidi and Kubra Khan.
Meanwhile, Asim Azhar is widely recognised for his vocal talents, and was featured on season 9 of Coke Studio, dueting with Momina Mustehsan with their hit song ‘Tera Woh Pyar’ (Nawazishein Karam).
Asim has sung a number of OSTs for Pakistani dramas, such as Pagli and Sinf-e-Aahan. He has hit songs such as ‘Ghalat Fehmi’ and ‘Tum Tum’.
He was previously in a relationship with Hania Aamir but the two decided to break up.
The pair ended up supposedly aiming jibes at each other.
Asim posted a meme of Anupam Kher with the words “shukar baal baal bach gaya [thank God, managed a narrow escape]” on it.
Hania fired back, writing: “You can either be a celebrity, or a bitter ex with no dignity.”
