The sudden demise of the famous TV actor Vikas Sethi has left the entertainment industry and his fans in mourning.

The 48-year-old passed away on the night of September 7, 2024, due to a cardiac arrest at his in-law’s house.

Jhanvi Sethi, Vikas’ wife, shared the heartbreaking details of his final moments.

The couple had travelled to Nashik, Maharashtra, for a family event when Vikas fell ill.

Despite showing symptoms of discomfort, he chose not to seek immediate medical attention.

Tragically, the following morning, Jhanvi discovered her beloved husband had passed away in his sleep.

Jhanvi Sethi said: “After we arrived at my mother’s house, he started experiencing vomiting and loose motions.

“He didn’t want to go to the hospital, so we called a doctor to the house.

“When I went to wake him around 6 am (on Sunday), he was no more. The doctor confirmed that he had died in his sleep due to cardiac arrest.”

The actor’s body has been sent to Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem.

The news of his untimely demise has sent shockwaves through the industry and among his admirers.

Vikas Sethi, a heartthrob of the 2000s, left an indelible mark on Indian television with his versatile performances.

The actor is known for his memorable roles in shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahin To Hoga, and Kasautii Zindagii Kay.

These serials were not just popular in India, but their fame extended beyond the borders and they were watched in Pakistan as well.

Vikas also graced TV screens in shows like Uttaran and Geet Hui Sabse Parayee.

His charm extended beyond the small screen, as he shared the silver screen with stars like Kareena Kapoor Khan.

This was in the famous 2001 film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in which he portrayed Robbie.

Vikas also showcased his talent in Deepak Tijori’s erotic drama film Oops!

The actor also exhibited his dancing prowess in the third season of the reality show Nach Baliye alongside his former wife, Amita.

As the industry mourns the loss of a talented actor, preparations are underway for Vikas Sethi’s final rites.

They are scheduled to take place on September 9 in Mumbai.

Vikas Sethi is survived by his wife, Jhanvi Sethi, and their twin sons.
