Who is Avani talking to?
In future episodes of BBC’s EastEnders, Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) is set to embark on a key storyline.
The teenager will be seen messaging a mystery person as she strikes up a secret romance.
In upcoming scenes, Avani will spend time with Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman).
However, much to Barney’s chagrin, instead of paying attention to him, Avani focuses on texting someone else.
It soon becomes clear that Avani is messaging a boy and when Barney questions her, Avani will snap at him to stop talking about it.
Who is Avani talking to and why is she being so secretive?
On September 16, 2024, Barney will meet Avani’s new connection but is the person safe and could she find herself in trouble?
In the following episode of EastEnders, Avani’s relative Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) will be busy planning a surprise party for her son Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota).
It remains to be seen whether Avani’s new friend could affect the event and if so, how will her family react?
In October 2023, Avani Nandra-Hart was introduced to the soap as the long-lost daughter of Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).
She joined the show along with her mother Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy).
Avani is also the sister of Davinder ‘Nugget’ Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury).
Upon her arrival in the Square, Avani quickly cemented herself as a feisty and troublesome teenager.
This was highlighted when she sold vapes to Will Mitchell (Freddie Phillips).
Recent episodes of EastEnders have depicted Avani as heartbroken at Nugget’s collapse and subsequent dialysis.
She also narrowly escaped getting injured in a crowd crush at the nightclub after being denied entry due to her age.

Meanwhile, future episodes of the show will also see the anticipated return of Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman).
Chrissie will be reunited with her stepdaughter Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) in prison after being estranged for 19 years.
