"I would have not been able to defeat my fear"
Vicky Kaushal revealed his biggest fear in a promo video for Into the Wild with Bear Grylls.
The Bollywood star featured in the promo for the upcoming episode, which releases on November 12, 2021.
In the survival show, Vicky is seen exploring the Indian Ocean under the guidance of Bear Grylls.
He picks up a crab from the marsh and eats it, crosses the woods on foot and swims in the ocean.
Vicky also reveals his biggest fear. He says:
“I have a major fear of deep sea. Let’s do it with josh because the spirit is all-time high.”
The video prompted a lot of comments from social media users.
One person said: “Seems like Bear Grylls wants to join Bollywood.”
Another said: “Into the Wild has become an Indian show now.”
Others joked about his rumoured wedding to Katrina Kaif.
“You are doing so many things out of happiness, as you are getting married to Katrina Kaif.”
On the experience, Vicky Kaushal said:
“It was a wonderful experience going on this survival expedition with the world-famous adventurer Bear Grylls.
“If it wasn’t for him, I would have not been able to defeat my fear of swimming in this vast ocean.
“This journey also marks an incredibly significant chapter in my life as I was able to overcome and conquer one of my many fears.
“The thought of being in the middle of an ocean and not having a floor beneath you is not easy, but Bear’s constant motivation and determination has helped me rise out of this triumphantly.”
Calling Vicky an “incredible guest”, Bear added:
“Not only were we in some of the most hostile mangrove swamps on earth, but he also had to face open ocean swimming with sharks in the water, which was a huge obstacle for him.
“His story and his route to superstardom is so humbling, and his warm, infectious spirit is always inspiring.”
“You get to see a very raw, personal side of Vicky on this journey, and I am so proud of how he truly conquered his fears.”
Vicky Kaushal’s appearance on Into the Wild with Bear Grylls comes shortly after Ajay Devgn appeared as a guest.
On the work front, Vicky is coming off the success of Sardar Udham.
His next film will be Sam Bahadur.
