"Seven years imprisonment with fine"
The trailer for the anticipated film The Sky is Pink came out and it made headlines in all the right ways with many fans praising their performances.
It marks Priyanka Chopra’s Bollywood return after three years starring in Hollywood films. She stars alongside Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.
The film is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary (Zaira), a teenager diagnosed with a terminal illness who later becomes a motivational speaker.
Priyanka and Farhan play her parents Aditi and Niren respectively and the film showcases their love story which spans 25 years and is told through the perspective of Aisha.
The trailer provides glimpses of the budding romance between the lead pair, the equation with their children and their fallout.
One moment in the trailer did attract a lot of attention, mainly from the Maharashtra Police.
In one scene, Niren promises Aditi that he would shower all the riches on their family once their daughter gets better.
Priyanka’s character then replies saying that they could rob a bank and have the money quickly to use for their daughter’s treatment.
The Maharashtra Police then took to Twitter to give them their punishment if they commit the robbery.
They wrote: “Seven years imprisonment with fine under IPC Section 393.”
The police’s ‘sentence’ prompted Priyanka to give a quirky response as she replied:
“Oops. Caught red-handed… time to activate Plan B, Farhan Akhtar.”
