"I want to do him very proud in this life."
The upcoming episode of the BBC’s The Apprentice 2026 will see the remaining candidates get grilled.
Lord Alan Sugar’s trusted advisors will interview the Final Five regarding their business plans.
These interviews are daunting and expose holes and mistakes in the candidates’ proposals.
Sometimes, the interviews are so overwhelming that the contestants end up in tears.
One of Lord Sugar’s advisors, known for bringing out the emotions in the candidates, is Claudine Collins.
Reflecting on this, Lord Sugar previously said: “Claudine is most valuable because she not only sees what the candidates want to do, but why they want to do it.”
However, in the future episode, things will take a touching turn as Claudine is left crying at the end of Karishma Vijay’s interview.
In a clip, Claudine says: “Karishma, I want to ask you a bit about yourself, really, because you obviously have a huge drive and motivation.
“How has the motivation and drive come to you?”
Karishma replies: “My dad was, at one point, a very financially stable man. Now we have very little to get through each month.
“It’s why I’m here, because for me, at the core of my business plan, rent is due on the 22nd. Today, my rent is due today.
‘It’s been my thought, and it’s sad for me that we’re moving every six months.
“Money is just such a big issue for us right now.
“But I want to give him the world. Everything I do, my dad’s at the very core of it.
“I want to do him very proud in this life.”
Visibly emotional, Claudine says: “Karishma, I think that your dad and your family would be so proud of you.
“And I wish you all the best.”
Karishma answers: “Thank you, Claudine, you’ve absolutely made my day.
“Thank you very much, it was an honour to get to meet you today.”
After Karishma leaves the room, Claudine wipes a tear from her face.
Karishma has been a favourite of viewers, with many admiring her for her no-nonsense and fearless attitude.
Several fans have been campaigning for her to win The Apprentice.
Along with Karishma, the Final Five in the 2026 series are Dan Miller, Priyesh Bathia, Pascha Myhill, and Lawrence Rosenburg.
Of these, four contestants have Indian heritage, which means that at least one Indian candidate has a 50% chance of winning the series.
Following the interviews, Lord Sugar will eliminate three candidates, and the remaining two will fight one final time for the chance to become his business partner.
The Apprentice airs the interview episode on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 9 pm.
