Kaifi Khalil found fame with his popular song ‘Kahani Suno 2.0’ which served as the OST for the popular drama serial Mujhe Pyar Hua Tha and was recognised for his unique and soulful vocals.

Kaifi began his musical journey when he began uploading song covers on YouTube. He was eventually discovered by Coke Studio which resulted in him creating the song ‘Kana Yaari’.

Since the release of ‘Kahani Suno 2.0’, Kaifi Khalil has managed to reign at the top of the Spotify chart in Pakistan, resulting in 350 million streams.

The song proved popular across borders and became a trending song in Bangladesh, India, the UK, the USA and Canada.

After the resounding success of ‘Kahani Suno 2.0’, Kaifi once again mesmerised his fans with ‘Mansoob’.

The song consisted of heartfelt lyrics that resonated with heartbroken individuals and many took to YouTube to share their thoughts on the song.

One social media user wrote: “A wise man once said, ‘When you’re happy you enjoy the melody, but when you’re broken you understand the lyrics’. We are here for the lyrics.”

Another said:

“This is not written by a pen. This is written by pain.”

A third added: “Urdu is not a language, it is an ocean of emotions.”

In 2023, Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana faced trolling when he recorded a video of himself singing ‘Kahani Suno’.

Kaifi’s fans were not pleased and they urged Ayushmann to leave the singing to professionals.

“Please stop destroying this song. First Jubin and now Ayushmann. Let it be sung only by Kaifi Khalil. Thank you.”
