"a boy can navigate through life’s problems."

As Mannat Murad came to an end, Talha Chahour took to Instagram to educate fans on the importance of understanding one another after marriage.

Talha admitted he chose to play the title role of Murad in an attempt to teach men that it was vital to hold a balance between his mother and wife post-marriage.

He wrote: “As Mannat Murad comes to an end, I want to take a moment to thank the audience and fans for giving it plenty of love.

“I chose this character to address an issue that does not let peace enter our homes.

“Men should learn to balance and alter their ways to maintain balance in their relationships despite their conditioning that tells them otherwise.

“I know it’s hard for only sons to fight the influence of their immediate families on their married lives.

“But with clear communication, a willingness to observe/accept the realities, and giving due importance (not more or less) to each of the relationships, a boy can navigate through life’s problems.

“I understand that it is also hard for single mothers to trust the companions of their sons, they might get insecure as well.

“But, maybe by giving a little space and focusing on our individual lives, we can all play our due part to make happy homes.”

He then went on to thank the creative team Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi for highlighting the sensitive topic before extending thanks to his co-stars Irsa Ghazal and Iqra Aziz.

Talha ended the heartfelt caption:

“And a big thank you to all the team behind the camera because without their cooperation and sincerity, nothing can be achieved.

“See you all with another meaningful story In’Sha’Allah [God willing].”

The post garnered positive feedback and fans thanked Talha Chahour for choosing such a script.

One fan wrote: “A heartfelt and meaningful note just as Mannat Murad was supposed to be.

“Many takeaways from the show, most importantly what is toxic, regressive and redundant for some, is a harsh reality for many.

“You chose well, as did your team. Of course, there is always room for growth and improvement. The mother-and-son duo of Razia Sultana and Murad will always be remembered.

“God bless. May you continue to shine.”

Another added: “Even though it was hard to watch the stupid decisions made by Murad, the outcome of having the guts to speak the truth was greatly portrayed.”

A third said: “Happy ending of Mannat Murad, you performed so well. Brilliant acting by everyone in this drama made it superb.”

Mannat Murad focuses on the life of an only son, Murad, to a single mother and brother to several sisters.

Murad finds himself facing problems when his mother is unable to share him with his wife Mannat.

The constant interference from his elder sisters and mother sees Murad constantly at loggerheads with Mannat as she tries to make him understand that his family are meddling in his relationship.

Murad is unable to see wrong from right and he finds himself taking out his frustration on his wife, who in turn loses her patience and leaves her marital home.

The serial was loved by its audience and many individuals said that this was the harsh reality in the life of an only son.

Some women also said that they could relate to Mannat’s plight as they had gone through the same situation.
