T-Series gets over 55 Nominations for Filmfare Awards f

a new standard in filmmaking and storytelling

Filmfare announced its nominations on March 25, 2021, and T-Series films received more than 55 in various categories.

Over the past few years, T-Series’ owner Bhushan Kumar has become one of the leading producers of today’s times.

His company is the force behind a dozen or more films every year.

Despite the difficulties that the film industry faced in 2020, T-Series continued to entertain audiences with consecutive films.

Now, it has received the most Filmfare nominations with more than 55, setting a new standard in filmmaking and storytelling.

A mixture of commercial and concept-oriented films has always been Bhushan’s brainchild and it has worked out well for the team.

The biggest validation has come in the form of nominations where films like Thappad, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Ludo, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Malang, Street Dancer 3D and others have bagged the top places in the entire list of nominations.

As part of T-Series 55 nominations, Ludo and Thappad were the top two films, bagging 18 and 17 nominations respectively.

What makes the nominations more interesting is the range of genres that Bhushan had in 2020.

Thappad, which starred Taapsee Pannu, was a riveting social drama. Meanwhile, Ludo was a dark comedy.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, starring Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan, was a high-budget period drama that was a box-office success, raking in more than Rs. 275 Crore.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan was a thought-provoking comedy that tackled the taboo behind homosexuality.

Whereas, Mohit Suri’s Malang was a romantic action thriller.

Meanwhile, Street Dancer 3D set new standards in dancing. The film starred Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor. It was directed by Remo D’Souza.

T-Series is the only company that has maintained a striking balance in the scale of films as well as the genre of films it produces each year.

There is a nice mix of films that cater to different audience demographics.

Following its staggering number of nominations, T-Series will start to reap its benefits.

Bhushan and T-Series have standalone supported several top productions as well as new filmmakers and actors in their vision.

In fact, these 55 plus nominations only go on to prove the power and merit of each project green lit by the T-Series boss.

It is certain that T-Series will dominate the Filmfare Awards when the ceremony takes place.
