"I guess this is my good fortune"
Actor Adarsh Gourav has responded to a comment made by Hrithik Roshan calling him a “discovery”.
Gourav’s response comes after Roshan took to social media to compliment him on his role in The White Tiger.
Hrithik Roshan does not shy away from supporting talent when he sees it. Now, it is Adarsh Gourav’s turn to receive his praise.
In a tweet from January 29, 2021, Roshan complimented the performances of The White Tiger cast members Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao.
He then went on to congratulate Adarsh Gourav for starting his year on a high.

Adarsh Gourav heard about Hrithik Roshan’s comments during a recent interview.
Delighted to receive such compliments, Gourav returned the favour with his own kind words for Roshan.
Gourav confessed that he grew up watching Roshan’s films and that he used to dance to the actor’s song ‘Ek Pal Ka Jeena’.
Adarsh Gourav said:
“He is such an incredible actor, what he did in Koi Mil Gaya, I don’t think any actor could have pulled that off, so different from everything else that he had done.
“I think he’s a gem of an actor and I guess this is my good fortune that somebody like him knows about our film and knows about my name through the film.”
Hrithik Roshan often praises actors and actresses for their work in various films.
In December 2020, Roshan also showed his appreciation for fellow actor Dimple Kapadia’s performance in Tenet.
Taking to his Instagram story, he said:
“Hers is unmistakably one of the best performances by an Indian actor in an international film. Just brilliant!!!!
“The charm, the power, the pose, the seductive eyes, Dimple aunty you are something else!
“Go see Tenet for HER.”
Clearly, Hrithik Roshan’s praise for Adarsh Gourav’s performance in The White Tiger was justified, as the film also received an Oscars nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
Gourav’s co-star Priyanka Chopra recently announced the nominations alongside her husband Nick Jonas.
Films also nominated include One Night in Miami, Nomadland, The Father and Borat Subsequent Movie.
