"people started saying that I've become arrogant"
Kiara Advani has reacted to a troll who commented on her topless photoshoot for Dabboo Ratnani.
The actress appeared on Arbaaz Khan’s Pinch where she spoke about receiving messages from trolls.
She also spoke about an incident where she was in a rush and as a result, could not pose for paparazzi. This led to many people calling her arrogant.
On the comments, Kiara said:
“I stood for a second, posed for them, they got the shot, but I was also thinking that I was getting late and I am making somebody wait.
“So, in the comment section, people started saying that I’ve become arrogant and couldn’t even pose for pictures, but what you see is not the whole truth, and you can’t make everyone happy.
“Let’s respect everybody’s personal space and not jump to such conclusions.”
She also discussed her photoshoot for Dabboo Ratnani Calendar 2020 in which she posed topless, using a large leaf to cover her modesty.
Arbaaz read out several comments to Kiara.
One user had said: “This was the only good thing in 2020.”
Kiara responded: “I will take that as a compliment.”
Another person commented: “I wish a goat would eat the leaf.”
On the strange comment, Kiara simply said: “Eww.”
Arbaaz asked Kiara about the photoshoot, to which she replied:
“I don’t know how it escalated. It was Dabboo… He came up with this concept of leafy concept. It was very aesthetically shot.”
On the subject of trolling and protecting her family, Kiara Advani said:
“I have cousins who are younger, they’re on social media and sometimes I worry about them.
“I refrain from posting their birthday pictures on my handle, as I don’t want my followers or trollers to attack them
“I don’t want my family to start getting trolled because of me.”
“I’ll form my thick skin and I’ll take it but don’t drag them.”
On the show, Kiara recalled an incident where people believed she had plastic surgery.
“I attended an event and some pictures from that surfaced) on different social media platforms, there were a lot of comments about, ‘Oh, she has done plastic surgery’.
“And the irony of it was I almost started believing that I did something to myself.”
On the work front, Kiara Advani will next be seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which also stars Kartik Aaryan and Tabu.
Other projects Kiara has in the pipeline include Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Mr Lele.
