"I want to know who are these mirch masala wale sources?"
Kiara Advani addressed the rumours surrounding her and Sidharth Malhotra.
It has been heavily rumoured that they have been in a relationship. But earlier in 2022, it was reported that they split up.
It was later believed that the pair decided to give their relationship another chance.
A source had said: “They can’t stay without each other; they realised that it was a bhool (mistake) and they’d been rather impulsive to say to each other that they’re closing the chapters on their love scene. The call was quite emotional.”
Kiara Advani has now addressed the persistent rumours, stating that she cannot completely ignore such speculation.
She said: “I am not completely immune to it, especially when it (rumour) is about your personal life.
“On the professional front, thankfully, I have never had an experience where something has been said that has affected me or my family, but on the personal front, when they add two and two, that’s when I am like, where is this coming from?”
The actress further wondered where these ‘Mirch Masala Sources’ come from.
She continued: “If it is frivolous, then even they [family] don’t appreciate it, naturally.
“What bothers me is that at the end of the day you are here for your work to speak, so you don’t want other aspects of your life to take the spotlight, but you cannot help it.
“I guess we have to develop that thick skin.
“You have to turn a blind eye, the more you react, there is no end to it.
“Who is this source? I want to know who are these mirch masala wale sources?”
Kiara Advani previously spoke about her bond with Sidharth Malhotra, saying:
“As a co-star, Sidharth is extremely driven and focused. He loves to prep a lot and does a lot of readings.
“That’s very similar to the way I like to work on a film. So, in that sense, we got along very well.
“As a friend, I’d say he is one of my closest friends in the industry.
“I think, even as a friend, he’s full of life and always fun to be around.”
On the work front, Kiara is gearing up for the release of Jugjugg Jeeyo which also stars Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor.
She will also be seen in Govinda Naam Mera.
Meanwhile, Sidharth is currently filming Rohit Shetty’s OTT debut Indian Police Force.
