Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra have announced that they are expecting their second child, sharing the news with fans on October 7, 2026.
The couple revealed the news through a joint Instagram post, with Kiara sharing a message expressing their happiness and gratitude.
She wrote: “Blessed once again with the greatest gift of all.
“Our hearts are so full of love and gratitude.”
The announcement prompted an outpouring of congratulatory messages from friends and members of the Indian film industry.
Kareena Kapoor wrote: “Mommy and Daddy again yayyy.”
Karan Johar also shared his excitement with a series of heart emojis, writing, “Love love you”, while Athiya Shetty left a heart in the comments.
Rhea Kapoor congratulated the couple, while designer Manish Malhotra and actor Bhumi Pednekar were among others who sent their love and best wishes.
The announcement comes after Sidharth recently spoke about fatherhood during an appearance on Bigg Boss 20.
The actor described being a father as “the best role possible” and spoke fondly about his daughter Saraayah, who was around 15 months old at the time of his appearance.
During the conversation, host Salman Khan jokingly told Sidharth:
“Hopefully you will have another one soon.”
This prompted Sidharth to flip things and ask Salman about his own thoughts on marriage and having children.
Salman responded that he has “very good” thoughts on marriage and kids but opted not to elaborate further on his personal views.
Kiara and Sidharth have largely kept their relationship and family life away from the public eye.
The couple married in an intimate ceremony in Rajasthan in February 2023, following a relationship that had largely been kept private before their wedding.

During an episode of Koffee With Karan, Kiara revealed Sidharth proposed to her in Italy, telling Karan:
“You know when Sid came to that episode (of Koffee With Karan), we had just come back from Rome where he proposed to me.
“My parents weren’t there. It was our first family holiday with me and his family.”
They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Saraayah Malhotra, on July 15, 2025.
The arrival of their second child will mark another major milestone for the couple as they continue to balance family life with their careers in the Indian film industry.
