Bollywood stars Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra are expecting their first child, with the couple sharing the joyous news on social media.
On February 28, 2025, they posted a heartfelt image of baby socks in their hands, accompanied by the caption:
“The greatest gift of our lives. Coming soon.”
The announcement was met with an outpouring of love from fans and industry colleagues alike.
Shilpa Shetty expressed her excitement, commenting, “Awwwwww congratulations are in order,” while Rakul Preet Singh wrote, “Omggggggg congratulations guys. so so happpy.”
Meanwhile, producer Ekta Kapoor humorously referenced the couple’s hit film Shershaah, commenting, “Raaaataaan will truly be lambiyaaan sleepless nights r here.”
Kiara and Sidharth tied the knot in February 2023 in a grand wedding in Rajasthan after dating for several years.
Their love story began when they first met at a party following Kiara’s shoot for Lust Stories.
The couple later shared the screen in Shershaah (2021), a war drama based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, which became a fan favourite and strengthened their bond.
During an appearance on Koffee with Karan, Kiara revealed details of Sidharth’s romantic proposal.
She recalled how he orchestrated an elaborate moment at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Rome, complete with a violinist and a heartfelt speech.
She said: “He had done this candlelight dinner. We go back after dinner, and he takes me up for a walk.
“We go up and suddenly the violinist comes out of the bushes playing and sweetly, his little nephew is taking our video from behind the bushes. He then goes on one knee and proposes.
“I was not expecting it that night so I was so overwhelmed, I didn’t say anything.”
Kiara Advani further shared that when he ran out of words, Sidharth Malhotra recited his famous dialogue from Shershaah, saying, “Dilli ka seedha sada launda hun.”
The couple then celebrated the moment with his family before calling Kiara’s parents and filmmaker Karan Johar to share the news.
Their wedding was equally sentimental, with the couple choosing to walk down the aisle to a song from Shershaah, symbolising their journey together.
With this new chapter unfolding, fans eagerly await more glimpses of their journey into parenthood.
