"CBI in its charge sheet can still file a case of murder"
Sushant Singh Rajput’s family lawyer, Vikas Singh has reacted to the recent AIIMS report which ruled out the murder angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
Instead, the report mentioned that the late actor committed suicide on 14 June 2020.
This shocking turn of events startled many people including the late actor’s fans and even stars like Kangana Ranaut.
Now, Vikas Singh released his statement on the family’s behalf on the AIIMS report’s decision.
Speaking to Times of India, he said:
“AIIMS report is not conclusive and CBI in its charge sheet can still file a case of murder in Sushant Singh Rajput death case.”
Vikas Singh continued to reveal that the AIIMS report was based solely on photographic evidence which was provided to them. They did not examine the late actor’s body first-hand.
He added that the X-ray of Sushant’s leg which was allegedly fractured was not considered. He said:
“They don’t have the X-ray of the leg which is said to have been fractured so it cannot be conclusive at the most it could be taken as a piece of evidence in the case.”
Currently, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is investigating the drug angle in Bollywood.
This came to light after a WhatsApp conversation was accessed which showed Rhea Chakraborty and her talent manager Jaya Saha discussing drugs.
This led to many other Bollywood stars being questioned by the NCB. These include Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh.
Speaking about the drug case in relation to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death investigation, Vikas Singh said:
“There is nothing much going to come out of it and it has got nothing to do with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case and mere parades are happening.”
Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde also reacted to the AIIMS report. He said:
“I have seen the statement of the Doctors from AIIMS concerning SSR case. The official papers and report are only with AIIMS and CBI which will be submitted in court once investigations are over.”
On behalf of his client, Rhea Chakraborty, Satish Maneshinde said:
“We await the official version of CBI. We on behalf of Rhea Chakraborty have always said that truth cannot be changed under any circumstances.
“The speculations against Rhea in some quarters of the Media are motivated and mischievous. We remain committed to Truth Alone.”
