"I don’t want to see his face ever again"
The strained relationship between Govinda and Krushna Abhishek has escalated after his wife Sunita Ahuja lashed out at their nephew.
Her angry reaction came after Krushna said he would not be in an upcoming episode of The Kapil Sharma Show which will feature Govinda and Sunita.
Sunita said that Krushna’s decision has left her “distressed beyond words” and that the issues between them will never be resolved.
Over the past few years, the relationship between Krushna and Govinda has not been the best.
This has seen Krushna avoid sharing the stage with his uncle in the past.
Sunita Ahuja has now slammed her nephew.
She recalled an incident in 2018 involving Krushna’s wife Kashmera Shah, stating that there is no chance of reconciliation.
Sunita said: “It will never happen. Three years ago, I had said that things could not be resolved till I am alive.
“You can’t misbehave, insult or take liberties in the name of family. We have raised them and are not living off them.
“All I can say is that the issues will never get resolved and I don’t want to see his face ever again in my life.”
Kashmera had once tweeted about some “people who dance for money”. This had offended Sunita as she felt the tweet was aimed at Govinda.
On Krushna deciding not to appear in an upcoming episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, Sunita said:
“I am distressed beyond words to know what Krushna Abhishek said about refusing to be a part of the episode that featured my family and me as guests.
“He said that both parties did not want to share the stage.”
“Last year in November, Govinda had issued a statement clarifying his stand and vowing to never discuss family issues in public.
“Like a thorough gentleman, he has kept the promise.
“I reiterate that we want to maintain a dignified distance, but it has reached a point where I feel the need to address the issue.”
Sunita Ahuja went on to say that whenever she and Govinda appear on the show, their nephew says “something about (them) in the media just for publicity”.
She added that Govinda “may not respond or retaliate” but it upsets and infuriates her.
In November 2020, Govinda had issued a statement in relation to his relationship with Krushna:
“I am utterly sad to talk about this in public, but it is high time that the truth came out.
“I read the report about my nephew (Krushna Abhishek) not performing on a TV show as I was invited as a guest.
“He also spoke about our relationship. His statement had many defamatory comments and was thoughtless.”
