Sucha Mela is returning to Willenhall Memorial Park this summer, promising a packed day of music, food, family fun and cultural pride.

On July 6, 2025, the park will transform into a lively celebration of Punjabi heritage, with a free, all-day festival that runs from 11 am to 6 pm.

It will be Sucha Mela’s fourth event and organisers say this year’s edition will be the biggest and boldest to date.

The annual cultural festival is powered by Genesis Media and backed by Arts Council England. It continues to grow as a major highlight in the Black Country’s cultural calendar.

The Wolverhampton Grand Theatre is the headline partner, RadioXL is the radio partner, while Brit Panjabi and Kanshi TV are the TV partners.

Hosts Harpz Kaur and Manpreet Darroch will lead the stage programme to keep the energy up throughout the day and introduce the performers.

Headline acts include some of the biggest names in Punjabi music.

Sarbjit Cheema and Harjit Harman will bring timeless hits and soulful vocals to the main stage.

Harf Cheema, known for his fiery lyrics and contemporary style, is also set to perform.

Ishmeet Narula, Juggy D and legendary British Bhangra band Achanak will add to the festival’s cross-generational appeal.

Live performances will be supported by the Live Experience Band, led by acclaimed percussionist Tubsy Dholki Walla.

The lineup also features Giddha from Kikli Dance Academy, Bhangra fusion drumming by Bhangra Smash Up, and live circus acts.

  • Fun Fair – Thrilling rides and games for all ages, promising endless fun and excitement.
  • Great Stalls – Explore a variety of stalls offering unique crafts, goods, and cultural artefacts.
  • Food – Indulge in a delicious array of cuisines from around the world, guaranteed to satisfy every palate.
  • Photo Exhibition – Punjabi Tales of Willenhall is a captivating showcase of the rich heritage and stories of the local Punjabi community, not to be missed.
  • Celebration of Community Champions – Awarding those who have selflessly served the community.

Festival co-organiser and host Manpreet Darroch said:

Entry is free, and no tickets are required.

Sucha Mela has built a strong reputation for blending international talent with grassroots pride.

Past editions have featured artists including Channi Singh OBE, Panjabi MC, Apache Indian, Heera Group, Metz n Trix, Sukshinder Shinda and more.

Sucha Mela 2025 takes place on July 6 at Willenhall Memorial Park from 11 am to 6 pm.
