3. Navya…Naye Dhadkan Naye Sawaal (2011-2012)

The female lead of this Star Plus serial, Navya, won the hearts of the youth. This is because they could relate to her enticing life and love story.

4. Diya Aur Baati Hum (2011-2016)

The story is about Sandhya (Deepika Singh) who dreams to become an IPS officer. And her husband Sooraj (Anas Rashid), who works as a confectioner.

The title song has an authentically cultural, Rajasthani vibe to it, as it was shot in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

The rustic female and male voices fuse well together to give the song a fiery, melodious beat.

5. Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (2011-2013)

Unlike most TV plays that focus on lovers and their relationships, this one revolves around a sisterly relationship between Maanvi and Jeevika.

Loosely based on the popular Jane Austen novel, Sense & Sensibility, each sister gradually acquires their rightful lover.

But, we learn more about how beautiful a didi’s relationships can be. The popular and loved title song does justice to the theme as it’s both sweet and melodious.

6. Kayamath (2007-2009)

Airing for only two years, Kayamath is recognised as one of the top ten Star Plus shows of all time.

Again, love is the theme, but of a new kind of dilemma is explored between two lovers.

The exceptional producer, Ekta Kapoor, has rightfully given Kayamath and its title song, a mystifying touch.

On YouTube, Sayali displays her love for the title track, as she reminisces:

“It’s a really beautiful track; one of my childhood faves!”

7. Saraswatichandra (2013-2014)

Saraswatichandra, produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, tells the story of two lovers, both hailing from cultured backgrounds.

There is Kumud (Jennifer Winget) who is a respectful ladki from Ratnagiri. And the handsome Saras (Gautam Rode) from Dubai.

The series bagged several awards during 2013 and was one of the top Indian television dramas at the time. As for the title song, it encases graceful and traditional music, as can be expected by Bhansali.

8. Maryada…Lekin Kab Tak? (2010-2011)

The serial drama Maryada had an extremely strong cast with a bold plot, used alongside excellent, realistic events and dialogues. The plot focuses on the story of four women.

9. Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil (2008-2010)
