"The news of his death has left me broken."
Aditya Singh Rajput was tragically found dead at his apartment in Mumbai.
According to reports, the 32-year-old’s body was discovered in the bathroom by a friend.
The friend and the building’s security staff transported Aditya to hospital, however, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Oshiwara Police have confirmed the incident and an investigation is underway.
Although the cause of death has not been revealed, there are reports that it was due to a drug overdose.
Aditya’s sudden death has shocked many, with his friend Nibedita Pal saying:
“Honestly, I can’t tell you how I felt when I came to know about it. I have known Addy for the past 5 years.
“When I first started my journey in Bombay (Mumbai), that is how long I have known him.
“I met him just a day before at an event. He was there all fit and fine in his usual self.
“I don’t know what happened all of a sudden, it was really really shocking for me.
“I couldn’t perform the scenes after getting to know about his death. I was so numb and shocked.
“There were so many calls that I missed as I couldn’t talk about it and go through the nightmare again.
“It all came crashing down on me. I wish we could have turned back time and saved him. It is still a shock for me.”
Meanwhile, Sweety Walia revealed that Aditya messaged her a few days before his death.
She explained: “My friendship with Aditya is very deep.
“He was such a cheerful boy, he used to give a lot of respect to those who were older than him.
“The news of his death has left me broken.
“I got his message a few days back. I got an injury and he had been sending me voice messages. No one says that you are hurt, you will be fine.
“His last message was, ‘Come home soon.. I will feed you Maggi’.”
Aditya Singh Rajput was a model and actor.
He first entered showbiz as a ramp model before moving on to film and TV, featuring in the likes of Krantiveer and Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara.
He also appeared in over 125 adverts.
Aditya also featured in reality shows such as Splitsvilla 9.
Some of his TV projects included Love, Ashiqui, Code Red, and others.
In addition to film and TV, Aditya was reportedly into casting and production work.
