Dhanush took the Best Actor (Male) award for Velai Illa Pattathari.

The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) celebrated its fourth consecutive year on August 6 and 7, 2015.

SIIMA brings together the best of the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam film industries, and the increasing impact they are making internationally.

The two-day extravaganza took place in Dubai, and welcomed stars of South India and Bollywood to celebrate the best films and acting talent of the last 12 months.

Stars included the likes of Balakrishna, Shriya Saran, Allu Arjun, Vivek, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Sonu Sood, Rana Daggubati, Taapsee Pannu, Nikki Galrani, Shruti Haasan, Khushboo, Dhanush, Lakshmi Rai, Anirudh Ravichander, Devi Sri Prasad, Adah Sharma, and British born, Amy Jackson.

South Indian International Movie Awards 2015 Winners

The weekend saw some incredible performances from both the Telugu and Tamil film industry, with Nikki Galrani, Pooja Hegde, Amyra Dastur, Vineeth Srinivasan, Sharmiela Mandre, Kriti Kharbanda, Shriya Saran, Devi Sri Prasad, Taapsee Pannu, Amala Paul and Shruti Haasan.

In the Tamil category, the big winners included Kaththi which won Best Film. The multi-talented crossover actor, Dhanush took the Best Actor (Male) award for Velai Illa Pattathari, as well as ‘Best Lyrics’ for ‘Amma Amma’ from the same film. The actor also won the ‘Pride of South Indian Cinema’ award.

Amy Jackson took the ‘Stylish Actress of South India’, while popular actor Neil Nitin Mukesh took ‘Best Villain’ for Kaththi.
