"Ask the BSP60 a range of questions and it will answer right back."
The Smart Bluetooth Speaker BSP60 is a voice-controlled, multitasking wireless personal assistant.
It can also read out your text messages and provide up-to-date weather reports without the touch of a button!
Anyone who has seen Disney’s Big Hero 6 (2014) may mistake this cute, glossy ball-shaped gadget to a mini Baymax!
Once paired with your compatible Android smartphone or tablet, the portable fun-filled BSP60 will be capable of performing a multitude of handy daily activities wirelessly, such as:
- Making a conference call
- Streaming music stored on your device
- Waking you up in the morning with a weather report
- Reading out text messages and calendar schedule
- Hands-free dialling
Weighing at 349g, the BSP60 is more than just a one-way communication gadget. It ‘becomes part of the musical experience’ by interacting and ‘dancing’ to the beat of the music being played.
Sony states: “Just ask your Smart Bluetooth Speaker BSP60 a range of questions, from weather information to your daily schedule and it will answer right back.”
This smart little speaker outputs a 2.5W stereo speaker, has a built in micro-USB port and is ‘fluent’ in English, French, German and Italian.
It is also equipped with touch-sensitive buttons, along with an integrated 1.6 inch monochrome display.
Surprisingly, it also supports Near Field Communication technology (NFC One-Touch), so you can press this button to easily begin conference calls.
For now, the BSP60 is only compatible with Android for users on its latest version – KitKat 4.4 and above.
It is unknown whether Sony will release an update in the near future to allow Apple iOS users to link their iPhones and iPads with the BSP60 speaker.
The Smart Bluetooth Speaker BSP60 is available to buy from Sony outlets in the UK, priced at £220.
