"That’s the combination everyone is waiting for!"
It is rumoured that Siddharth Anand could be set to direct Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming extravaganza Krrish 4.
The Krrish series is Bollywood’s first superhero franchise.
Led by Hrithik, it features the actor as the titular superhero. The saga began with Koi…Mil Gaya (2003).
That film went on to spawn two more films in the form of Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3 (2013).
Rakesh Roshan directed the first three instalments.
However, it was previously reported that although Rakesh would be a driving force behind the scenes, the filmmaker may not return to direct the next movie in the series.
Following an interesting tweet by Siddharth Anand on X, fans started to wonder whether he would be the one to take the reins from Rakesh.
Box Office India posted a picture of Krrish, writing: “He is coming… #Krrish4.”
Siddharth replied to the tweet saying: “Yep! He is…”
The tweet amassed enthusiastic responses from excited fans.
One user wrote: “Are you directing it? If not Rakesh sir, then you should do it. Please say yes, Lord.”
A second fan said: “With you sir? If yes I’m very excited.”
A third gushed: “FilmKraft and Marflix! That’s the combination everyone is waiting for!”

Ever since the release of Krrish 3, fans have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of the following film.
In 2018, Rakesh Roshan announced that Krrish 4 would be released in December 2020. However, this never happened.
In March 2024, it was confirmed that the film was in development.
A source stated: “The project is currently in development.
“Hrithik has scheduled brainstorming sessions throughout the summer.
“Both Rakesh and he want to deliver a story that will exceed expectations.
“The team has explored and subsequently shot down a lot of ideas.
“The makers are certain that if the story doesn’t work, they won’t go ahead with it.
“That’s why they have dedicated so many months to finding the right story to take the superhero’s journey ahead.”
Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand have previously collaborated on Bang Bang (2014), War (2019) and Fighter (2024).
Siddharth has also helmed the mega-blockbuster Pathaan (2023).
With such high expectations and a grand scale attached to Krrish 4, a celluloid force of action like Siddharth Anand seems an apt choice to take over as director.
Meanwhile, as well as Hrithik Roshan, actors including Rekha, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Vivek Oberoi and Kangana Ranaut have all been involved in the Krrish franchise.
