In a recent episode of Shark Tank India 3, a bold pitch left the judges laughing.

Dalip Kumar introduced his company Luvottica, a sexual wellness company that is known for building tantra chairs.

The piece of furniture is designed to accommodate and enhance intimate moments.

Typically curved with padding, the sofa aims to elevate comfort and versatility for couples during sex.

On the show, Dalip asked for an investment of Rs. 2 Crore for 10% equity.

Although the pitch left some of the judges feeling awkward, others seized the opportunity to ask some fun and quirky questions to Dalip.

Anupam Mittal even tried out the chair.

During the pitch, Namita asked Dalip:

“If an aged relative comes home and asks what is that couch, what should one say?”

Dalip replied: “You can also call it a rest lounger.”

Based on the entrepreneur’s answer, Anupam said that while one might spice up their sex life through the couch if another aged relative sleeps on it, it might give a wrong message.

Anupam, who is the CEO of Shaadi.com, said:

“Imagine if your aunt or grandmother lies down on the same couch, what will you think? You don’t make sense, you will break families.”

The judges were left laughing when Dalip said his business has a lot of scope in the hotel industry.

While Vineeta Singh and Namita Thapar were having fun during the pitch on Shark Tank India, Ritesh Agarwal too was having a hearty laugh.

And when the pitcher said that this product would be very useful for Ritesh, everybody burst out laughing.

However, Namita and Ritesh ultimately backed out of the deal.

Although Aman Gupta did not interact much with Dalip, he also enjoyed the pitch before backing out.

Vineeta and Anupam then gave their views on Dalip’s business.

Vineeta backed out, calling the idea that the business provides a solution “irrelevant”.

She said: “You made a point that in the last 20 years, lovemaking has reduced because there’s a lot of stress and lifestyle factors.

“Maybe this is right. But I do not believe that sexual furniture is the solution. This solution is irrelevant.”

Anupam said that the sexual wellness market is a niche one and sexual furniture is even more unique. But despite his comments, he also backed out, leaving Dalip without an investment.
