Sarwat Gilani has announced the birth of her daughter on Instagram.
This is the actress’ first daughter after having two sons with husband Fahad Mirza.
Sarwat shared an image of two favour boxes in the shape of bunny rabbits and captioned the post:
“Rohaan and Araiz are delighted to announce the arrival of their newborn baby sister. Please keep us in your prayers.”
The news was met with congratulatory messages from fans and fellow actors.
One individual wrote: “Congratulations Sarwat! Masha’Allah this is fantastic news!
“May Allah bless you and your family with a lot of happiness and success.”
Another said: “Congratulations to you and your family. Sending love and best wishes for you and your little one.”
Sarwat Gilani announced her pregnancy at the Lux Style Awards 2023.
She shared a photograph in which she was surrounded by her showbiz friends such as Sarmad Khoosat, Sana Jafri, Alina Khan and others as they placed their hands on her growing bump.
Sarwat had written: “Couldn’t think of a better picture to announce our new arrival! Celebrating together the biggest joy of now and the future.”

The pregnancy announcement was a welcome surprise for Sarwat’s fans, who expressed their excitement following the reveal on Instagram.
One fan had said: “OMG! Best news ever! Congratulations!”
Another added: “Masha’Allah heartiest congratulations. May Allah shower His immense blessings on you, your expected bundle of joy and your family.”
Sarwat Gilani is known for her impeccable acting skills.
She has made a mark in dramas such as Meri Zaat Zara-e-Benishan, Saiqa, Ahista Ahista, Seeta Bagri and Dil-e-Muztar.
She has also made film appearances in titles such as Dil Mera Dharkan Teri and Jawani Phir Nahi Aani, for which she received a nomination at the 2015 Lux Style Awards for Best Supporting Actress.
Most recently, Sarwat starred in Joyland.
Besides mainstream television, Sarwat has impressed fans with the mini-series Churails and Qatil Haseenaon Ke Naam.
Meanwhile, Fahad Mirza began his showbiz career as a model before making his debut in the drama Bari Aapa.
He has since worked in several serials and was most recognised for his appearance in Shanakht alongside Maya Ali.
Fahad played Rohaan, a fun-loving university student in England, who becomes closer to his religion and leaves his partying days in the past, shocking his mother and sisters.
The serial became one of the most-watched dramas of 2015 and was nominated for Best Drama Serial at the Hum Awards.
