“I don’t want to be an actor anymore.”

Komal Meer revealed the lengths she had to go to on the set of Qalandar, leaving fans shocked.

A rising star in the Pakistani showbiz industry, Komal is gaining recognition for her acting skills.

Initially, she got exposure on Miss Veet Pakistan. Since then, she has partaken in numerous adverts and various drama serials.

In a recent interview called ‘One on One with Komal Meer’, she mentioned some incidents she faced whilst filming.

During a particular scene on the set of Qalandar, Komal had to eat leftover food from unwashed plates. She says it was a very challenging and unfamiliar situation for her.

The leftover food plates were to be used for the afternoon filming sequence.

The director insisted that the food should be eaten as it was, to make the scene turn out more believable.

Komal Meer tried to cheat the director by just pretending to dip her tortilla in curry but was quickly caught.

The director then forced her to eat it, leaving her nearly in tears. Despite her disgust, she took on the challenge and gave her best performance.

Additionally, Komal Meer mentioned another memorable incident during the filming.

In a scene where her character’s aunt had to slap her, the slap turned out to be real.

Instead of pretence, the impact of the slap against her face was so forceful that it caused her to cry.

As it was a demand for the scene, her genuine tears worked in her favour. Komal mentioned that this incident left her considering leaving the drama industry for good.

In a light-hearted manner, Komal recalled calling her mother after the scene and saying:

“I don’t want to be an actor anymore.”

However, despite the difficulties, Qalandar became a huge success.

Komal Meer’s portrayal of the charming and innocent Dur-e-Adan captivated the audience, solidifying her position in the industry.

Her journey showcases her resilience and dedication.

Despite facing unexpected challenges, she persevered and emerged stronger.

Her commitment to her craft and ability to deliver exceptional performances have earned her a growing fan base and numerous opportunities.

Komal continues to make her mark in the drama industry. Besides Qalandar, she has gained recognition in Rah-e-Junoon, Badshah Begum and Wehshi, to name a few.

We can look forward to more outstanding performances and applaud her for pursuing her passion for acting despite the challenges.
