Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan has been mercilessly trolled on social media for wishing her brother, Ibrahim Ali Khan a happy birthday with bikini pictures.
Sara is quite active on social media where she provides fans with a glimpse into her daily life through numerous pictures and videos.
As a result of this, Sara often makes headlines for her posts and this has become the case once again.
Ibrahim turned 19-years-old on Thursday, March 5, 2020, although Sara was not with her brother to celebrate his special day.
Currently, the actress is busy shooting for her upcoming film, Atrangi Re (2021) opposite Akshay Kumar and Dhanush.
Sara took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt birthday message for her younger brother. She wrote:
“Happiest birthday Brother. I love you more than you know and am missing you lots today!! Wish I was with you.”
Along with the caption, Sara Ali Khan shared two unseen pictures from their trip to the Maldives with their mother Amrita Singh at the start of 2020.
The two pictures showed Sara wearing a bikini while Ibrahim was in a pair of shorts.

Despite the adorable birthday message, it was the pictures that led to Sara being mocked online.
The actress was criticised for posing alongside her brother in a bikini. One user on Instagram said:
“Omg … Bhai k sath aisi pic … Birthday wish k lie or koi pic nai mila … Bewakuf Sara.” (A picture like this with her brother. Could she not find another picture for his birthday. Stupid Sara.)
Anisrqureshi said: “Abe kuch to sharam karlo yahi pic milli thi bday wish karne k liye.” (Have some shame now this was the only picture you could find to wish [Ibrahim]).
While another Instagram user by the name khush._.shah went as far as saying:
“Nudes bhi daal do plsssss.” (Send nudes please).
Despite the negative criticism Sara received, some of her fans came out in support for her. Emon_riya said:
“She’s worked her ass off to attain that body n so why not flaunt it … n why do people have to react … if you don’t like it just ignore n scroll ahead … chk (check) pages wch (which) matches your taste instead!”
Soflyia_8 also came out in support of Sara and condemned those who criticised her. She said:
“Wow the comment section is full of s**** .. What’s wrong with people’s mentality is a wrong question to ask coz its all upbringing.. Indian ppl nd their so called “culture” the ppl commenting s**** are d same ppl who love to watch foreigners doing the same bcoz its OK there BT not here coz we have “sanskar” plz grow up!
“If u can’t change ur sick mentality then at least don’t spread negativity.. Keep your opinion to urself nd better to voice out where needed.”
Sara’s innocent birthday wish to her brother Ibrahim led to chaos in the comment section.
The actress regularly shares pictures with her brother Ibrahim on Instagram. There is no doubt the brother and sister duo share a close bond.
