Sana Javed has made her television comeback in the ARY Digital drama series Sukoon which also stars Ahsan Khan.
She appeared on Nida Yasir’s Good Morning Pakistan where the host commented on her weight loss and asked Sana if she followed a diet plan before she accepted her Sukoon role.
Nida asked: “You look so thin, so skinny, what’s going on Sana, what are you eating?”
Ahsan, who was also a guest on the show, humorously quipped:
“She’s not eating anything. The whole day passes by and this girl doesn’t eat anything!”
Sana replied: “First of all thank you, because this means that all the hard work that I have been putting in is paying off.
“Secondly, I do eat, but only healthy things.”
She went on to speak about the snacks that were left in her room and said that they were not a part of her diet as she was following intermittent fasting.
Sana spoke about her role as Aina in Sukoon and admitted she accepted the script because it is a commercial drama, a change from her recent societal issue-based dramas.
Before accepting the role, she did not pay attention to the way she looked because she was more focused on her performance, but Sukoon taught her she should pay attention to how she was shown on screen.
Sukoon follows the story of Aina (Sana Javed), Hamdan (Ahsan Khan) and Raza (Khakan Shahnawaz) who find themselves tangled in a love triangle.
The drama has an ensemble cast of Sidra Niazi, Atiqa Odho, Laila Wasti, Usman Peerzada, Nida Mumtaz and Qudsia Ali.
The show’s title track is a remake of the highly popular song of the same title which was released by Hassan and Roshaan.
Since the first episode aired, the drama has received mixed feedback.
Some people have said they are enjoying the drama so far, but others have said that they were not impressed.
Sana Javed is known for her hard-hitting roles in dramas such as Khaani, Kala Doriya, Ruswai, Zara Yaad Kar, Dunk and Darr Khuda Se.
Sana was applauded for her role in Dunk as a student who falsely accuses her teacher of sexual harassment.
The drama starred Nauman Ijaz, Bilal Abbas Khan and Yusra Rizvi.
She has been married to singer Umair Jaiswal since 2020.
