Bollywood’s latest gossip about Salman Khan’s pending marriage have left more than a few souls completely heart-broken.
Recent reports suggest that Khan will tie the knot with the blonde and beautiful Romanian TV celebrity, Iulia Vantur.
Salman Khan, popularly known in B-Town as ‘Sallu Bhai’, shot to fame with his second movie Maine Pyar Kiya (1989). Since then Salman has acted in countless commercial films as well as television advertisements. He has also been a producer and presenter.
Khan is the oldest son of film writer Salim Khan and his first spouse Salma (Sushila Charak). Khan has been engaged in several charitable groups during his profession. He also created the NGO, Being Human, which sells T-shirts and other accessories online and in stores.
Khan is notoriously known for his many failed relationships in the past. Although a lot of the rumours and gossip surrounding Khan carry some truth, he has been unfairly linked to numerous fake stories by the media.
For instance, he has been connected with Bruna Abdallah, Claudia Ciesla, and Asin. But these were all gossip stories and there is no fact or proof to back them up.
When it comes to actual linkups, Khan who is now 47 years of age had only four serious relationships in the past.
Sangeeta Bijlani was the first woman in Salman Khan’s life. They had a very serious relationship for quite a while, but this eventually failed. Sangeeta Bijlani later wedded former Indian Cricket Team captain Mohammed Azharuddin. But even after her marriage Sangeeta remained a close friend of Khan’s.
After splitting up with Sangeeta Bijlani, Khan was then connected with Somy Ali. They were Bollywood’s most well-known couple in the 1990’s, long before Sallu dropped her for Miss World, Aishwarya Rai. The couple allegedly broke up after news of Salman’s physical abuse towards Somy surfaced in the media.
His connection with celebrity Aishwarya Rai was a well known subject in the press. After their break-up in April 2002, Ash charged him of harassment. She stated that Khan had not been able to come to terms with their break-up and was constantly hounding her. Ash’s mother and father finally filed a harassment case against him.
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have been the source of continuous statements regarding their breakups and make-up’s, and so much has been published about the most popular duo of Bollywood. Together for several years, the couple eventually split up in 2010, but they are best friends now.
Katrina is not only amicable with Khan himself, but also with his close relatives. She is a frequent visitor at their family events be it a festivity or Eid. At the beginning of their relationship both were very enthusiastic about each other, however never confessed openly about their relationship.
Now there are rumours of Salman getting married to Romanian TV celebrity Iulia Vantur. Reports of Salman being regularly identified with Iulia have been doing the rounds for a while. It has been uncovered that Salman has known the celebrity for nearly two years.
Iulia Vantur is a well known Romanian TV presenter and actress. Born on 24th July, 1980 in Lasi, Romania, she completed her education in law and started working as a model and TV presenter. Salman and Iulia first met in Dublin where Salman was shooting for his film Bodyguard.
Iulia was introduced to Salman Khan by her then boyfriend Marius Moga. Moga is a Grammy nominated Romanian producer, musician and singer. Iulia and Marius were in a relationship then but lately, both have split up.
Salman has also been spotted with Iulia at an online promotion lately. Iulia is supposed to be staying at the Taj Places End, and Sallu seems to be making sure he is there for her whenever she needs anything at all.
However, to the comfort of almost every spinster in the city, his father has resolved that Salman is not willing to give up his bachelorhood yet. If speculation is anything to go by, Salim Khan has declined the reports outright.
Salim Khan has denied the rumors saying that there is definitely nothing between the two. When requested about the presence of Iulia in his son’s lifestyle, Salim said that his son meets many individuals because of his movies and trips abroad:
“There’s nothing to it, absolutely nothing! He meets thousands of people because of his work and travel. The girl you are talking about is a friend! It’s nothing that serious.”
Salman also lately revealed that he is a terrible lover and he is solely responsible for all his failed relationships. If the gossip and rumours are to be believed, Salman’s marriage with Iulia could be organised as early as this year!
It looks as though Salman’s fans will have to wait a bit more patiently to see if their idol will tie the knot or if a wedding date is on the horizon.
