"Will make you just like Moose Wala."

Salman Khan has applied for a gun licence for self-protection.

This comes after the actor and his father Salim received a death threat, which came just days after the shooting of singer Sidhu Moose Wala.

After the threat, Salman increased his security and now, he seems to be taking even more measures to protect himself.

Salman had visited Mumbai Police headquarters to meet with Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar.

According to sources, his visit was for physical verification in front of the licensing authority, a mandatory step in applying for a gun licence.

A source said Salman wants to own a gun to protect himself and his family.

Salman and his father Salim received a death threat in June 2022.

Salim had been on his morning run when his security staff found the handwritten note.

The note was addressed to the father and son duo and read:

“Will make you just like Moose Wala.”

The note was a reference to Sidhu Moose Wala, who was shot dead.

It was reported that the death threat came from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Salman Khan subsequently increased his security staff.

Kichcha Sudeep revealed that he contacted Salman after knowing about the incident.

He said: “I checked on him (Salman Khan).

“I know this thing about him that if he gets a chance then he will go out alone, he will go out cycling alone.”

“But this is not his decision, it is the responsibility of the people who love him and of the police department to keep him safe.

“He has lived his life like this. He has lived his life the way he wants to. He is a harmless man. He is a straightforward man.”

On the work front, Salman Khan was last seen in Antim: The Final Truth with Aayush Sharma in 2021.

He will next be seen in Tiger 3, reprising his role as RAW agent Tiger opposite Katrina Kaif.

It is heavily rumoured that he will appear as Tiger in a cameo appearance in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.

Salman also has Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali in the pipeline, which is slated to release in December 2022. The film is said to mark Shehnaaz Gill’s Bollywood debut.

Dhiren is a journalism graduate with a passion for gaming, watching films and sports. He also enjoys cooking from time to time. His motto is to “Live life one day at a time.”
