Salman Khan has received another death threat, allegedly from the Bishnoi gang.

Mumbai Police received a WhatsApp message which said the actor had two options – apologise at a temple or pay Rs. 5 Crore – if he wanted to stay alive.

The message originated from an individual claiming to be the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi.

Bishnoi is a well-known gangster currently in jail on multiple charges, including extortion and attempted murder.

The message read: “Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother is speaking and if Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our temple and apologise or give Rs. 5 crore.

“If he does not do so, we will kill him, our gang is still active.”

As a result, the Mumbai Police have heightened security around Salman and initiated a thorough investigation to trace the origins of the threat.

They are working towards confirming its authenticity, especially its connection to Lawrence Bishnoi.

This latest incident marks an escalation in a longstanding feud between Salman Khan and the Bishnoi gang.

It traces back to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, which Salman was allegedly involved in.

Tensions have simmered ever since, with the Bishnoi gang repeatedly targeting the actor, even demanding a Rs. 2 crore payment in October 2024.

That threat led to the arrest of a suspect in Mumbai’s Bandra area on October 30, 2024.

Following this latest threat, it was reported that the police have registered a case at Worli Police Station.

Efforts to trace the number used to send the threat are underway, and authorities have publicly shared updates.

They reiterated that they are actively working to track down those responsible.

The police emphasised the gravity of the situation on their social media platforms, stating:

“A case is being filed at Worli Police Station concerning the threat to Salman Khan.

“We are tracing the number from which the message originated.”

As a precautionary response to these escalating threats, Salman Khan has upgraded his personal security measures.

This includes importing a second bulletproof vehicle from Dubai.

The step comes after the gang claimed responsibility for the murder of politician Baba Siddique, who had ties to Salman.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is not letting anything come between him and his work.

Amid the fresh death threats, Salman Khan continues to shoot for his upcoming film Sikandar.
