Sajal Aly admitted that she wants an on-screen reunion with Sheheryar Munawar.
The actress took part in an Instagram Q&A and spoke to her fans about various topics.
But one topic that piqued her interest was about working with Sheheryar Munawar again.
After the success of Kuch Ankahi, fans have been eager to see the pair on-screen again.
During the Q&A, Sajal was asked if there were any more projects with Sheheryar.
She replied that they were both waiting for a worthy script before they accepted.
After being tagged in the answer, Sheheryar responded to the comment on his page and said:
“Is there something written in the stars Sajal Aly?”
He went on to tag director Nadeem Baig in the post, hinting that something was indeed in the pipeline before commenting:
“Tell, Nadeem Baig? What happened to your promise? Your oath and your intention?”
Since the exciting response from Sheheryar, fans have expressed eagerness to know when they will return on screen together again.
Sheheryar is mostly known for his movie appearances such as Ho Mann Jahan and Parey Hut Love.
He has also worked in various dramas including Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Pehli Si Mohabbat, Sinf-e-Aahan, and most recently, Kuch Ankahi.
His pairing with Sajal Aly was loved by viewers and many admitted that their on-screen chemistry was undeniable.
Kuch Ankahi revolves around fiercely independent Aaliya (Sajal Aly) who works in real estate and unintentionally finds herself in the middle of a love triangle.
Her path crosses with a moody Asfar (Sheheryar Munawar) who takes a shine to Aaliya and offers her a job in his office.
Kuch Ankahi focused on various working women in different paths of life, including a maid, a middle-class estate agent and a wealthy businesswoman.
It was praised for its different script and Samaa TV showed appreciation for the romantic portrayal of relationships in varied age groups.
Ali Safina was liked in his role as a son who is heavily influenced by his mother and unable to show love towards his wife.
Mira Sethi played the role of a daughter who was judged for being unmarried at a certain age.
She was applauded for her portrayal of a simple daughter who finds her voice after marriage and builds a relationship with her husband and mother-in-law whilst finding a way to earn money for herself.
