Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt recreated a scene from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham whilst on the set of Koffee With Karan.
July 6, 2022, is Ranveer’s 37th birthday and to mark the occasion, Karan Johar shared a video on Instagram.
In the video, the trio recreated a funny scene from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
The original scene featured Kajol’s Anjali and Daijaan (Farida Jalal) mimicking a British accent, following an argument between Anjali and Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) about upholding their Indian culture in London.
On the Koffee With Karan sets, Alia pretended to be Anjali while Ranveer played Daijaan.
The pair lip-synced the dialogue before Karan joined in towards the end.
In the caption, Karan revealed that his talk show returns on July 7 on Disney+ Hotstar and that Alia and Ranveer are his first guests.
The filmmaker wrote: “It’s our Rocky’s rocking birthday and to make it even more special, we have his Rani by our side!
“Catch more of their laughter with me on the couch on the first episode of #Hotstarspecials #KoffeeWithKaran S7, starting tomorrow on @disneyplushotstar.”

The video made fans feel nostalgic as they remembered the famous scene.

Others expressed their excitement over the return of Koffee With Karan.
Ranveer and Alia will star together in the upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
The film is directed by Karan Johar and also stars Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, and Dharmendra.
Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani was announced on Ranveer’s birthday in 2021.
The film is scheduled for theatrical release on February 10, 2023.
Meanwhile, Ranveer is currently spending his birthday in Hawaii with his actress wife Deepika Padukone.
A source told ETimes: “After wrapping up Cannes and other shoot commitments, Deepika flew down to the US with her family to meet a few relatives.
“The Padukones were also there to attend the Konkani Sammelan, where Deepika was the chief guest.
“A few days later, Ranveer joined her in the US and they attended the Konkani Sammelan together.”
The pair are spending a week in Hawaii as the source continued:
“The couple left for Hawaii to celebrate Ranveer’s birthday today. Both, Deepika and Ranveer will be back in Mumbai by this weekend, as they have to return to their respective work commitments.”
