"all these friendship goals posts are fake on Instagram.”

Naeema Butt stirred fresh controversy with her recent comments about her Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum co-stars.

In a candid interview on Gup Shab, she opened up about the “surface-level friendships” she’s encountered during her career.

Naeema shared that many of the friendships people see on social media are not real, describing them as “fake friends for Instagram”.

She didn’t hold back when addressing her experience working on Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, pointing fingers directly at her co-stars.

According to Naeema, her castmates presented a friendly image online, posting what she called “friendship goals”.

However, according to her, they acted very differently in real life.

She claimed that they even tried to physically push her off the stage during events.

She said: “I don’t want to go into details. But all these friendship goals posts are fake on Instagram.”

Her remarks have only added fuel to the fire following a previous appearance on Waseem Badami’s sports show.

During the show, Naeema failed to recognise an AI-generated photo of Hania Aamir, her Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum co-star.

When questioned, she bluntly said: “I was unable to identify Hania Aamir because I don’t know her very well.”

The host was visibly surprised, pointing out they had worked together in a drama.

Naeema replied: “Working in a drama with someone does not mean that you know them. You may think of knowing them but in reality, you don’t.”

This statement didn’t sit well with fans, who criticised her apparent lack of professionalism.

Viewers accused her of being envious of Hania Aamir’s fame, especially after the success of Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum.

Their off-screen relationship was previously questioned in December 2024 when Naeema shared a cryptic Instagram Story.

In the post, she spoke about the lack of real support among women in the entertainment industry.

She wrote:

“As women, we should uplift and empower each other, rather than perpetuating unnecessary competition and exclusion.”

Naeema added that many female artists use feminism as a performance, showing solidarity only on social platforms while undermining others behind the scenes.

She added: “It’s disheartening to see colleagues exert control in ways that stifle opportunities for others.”

Her words triggered speculation that she was indirectly referencing Hania Aamir.

With her recent interviews, many fans believe Naeema Butt has now confirmed what they suspected months ago, all was not well between the two.
