Bollywood stars Ram Gopal Varma and Kangana Ranaut frequently express their strong opinions on social media.
Now, the filmmaker has praised Ranaut’s versatility as an actress following the trailer release of her new film Thalaivi.
Thalaivi is based on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and late actress J Jayalalithaa. Kangana Ranaut is taking on the role of the deceased minister in the film.
Upon the release of the film’s trailer, Ram Gopal Varma has complimented Kangana Ranaut for her acting abilities.
Taking to Twitter, RGV said that, despite their disagreements, Ranaut is in a league of her own when it comes to acting.

In a tweet from Tuesday, March 23, 2021, Ram Gopal Varma said:

Kangana Ranaut responded to Varma’s tweet and showed great appreciation for his compliments.
On Wednesday, March 24, 2021, she tweeted:
“Hey sir… I don’t disagree with you on anything.
“I like and appreciate you very much, in this dead serious world where egos and prides get hurt so easily I appreciate you cause you don’t take anything seriously not even yourself.
“Thank you for your compliments.”
Following this, Ram Gopal Varma posted another tweet to Ranaut.
It included an apology referring to her comments comparing herself to Meryl Streep.
Kangana Ranaut earned strong reactions after calling herself a versatile actor on par with Hollywood legend Meryl Streep.
In a tweet posted on February 9, 2021, Ranaut said:
“Massive transformation alert, the kind of range I display as a performer no other actress on this globe has that right now, I have raw talent like Meryl Streep for layered character depictions but I can also do skilled action and glamour like Gal Gadot #Thalaivi #Dhaakad”
However, Ram Gopal Varma has now apologised to the actress for dismissing her claims.

Replying to Ranaut’s tweet, he said:
