PV Sindhu married Venkata Datta Sai in an intimate ceremony in Udaipur.
Although no official pictures are out, one image was shared by Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who attended the wedding.
He wrote: “Pleased to have attended the wedding ceremony of our Badminton Champion Olympian PV Sindhu with Venkatta Datta Sai in Udaipur last evening and conveyed my wishes & blessings to the couple for their new life ahead.”
For her bridal look, PV Sindhu ditched the red hue that is common among Indian brides.
Instead, she looked breathtaking in a golden lehenga.
Her outfit was a masterpiece, featuring intricate sequin embellishments and delicate zari detailing that adorned the entire fabric.
The golden borders added a regal touch, showcasing authentic Indian craftsmanship.
She paired the saree with an embellished blouse. To complete her bridal look, PV Sindhu draped a dupatta over her head.
The badminton player accessorised her look with traditional jewellery, including a diamond-studded maang tikka, statement drop earrings, stacked bangles adorning her wrist, and a bejewelled ring bracelet.
PV wowed with a dewy makeup look, and her brunette hair was styled in an elegant bun.
Meanwhile, Venkata looked equally regal in a golden sherwani, intricately embroidered with exquisite zari work.
The couple were seen greeting their guests while surrounded by white flowers.
The wedding was a private celebration, with only close friends and family in attendance.
They are set to host a wedding reception on December 24, where they have invited notable figures such as Sachin Tendulkar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In an interview, the couple said: “We both love celebrating festivals, and family traditions are incredibly important to us.
“We look forward to carrying these traditions forward with immense joy in the years ahead.”
The couple officially announced their engagement on December 14, 2024.
